Mervis with a 415 foot shot to dead center off a lefty. Me like.

Cassie just missed one.

I’ve really liked his approach so far. I fully expected him to struggle with his K rate but he seems to have a really good eye combined with a patient approach.

Aliendo is a breakout candidate. He’s put on a lot of muscle on him since I saw him at last April in Montgomery. He use to be a beanpole.

Anxious to watch Busch

He couldn't even beat out some guy named Freddie Freeman on the Dodgers. Don't expect anything.

Six pitch walk vs. a lefty.

Cubs can have a pretty good bench this season along with position depth with players in AAA/AA.

If Busch(1B) and Morel(3B) can produce all season without going into any longggg slumps, itll be huge for the offense.

Bench...

Amaya

Mastrobuoni

Mervis/Dom Smith

Wisdom

Tauchman

Also, with all the OF talent in AA and AAA, itll be interesting to see what they'll do as far as promotions and trades during the season.

Wesneski with another rough outing but the Dodgers have a video game team. They might win 120 games this year.

His slider wasn't very good, could be the dry AZ air or just it being early.

Bote with another HR. He's haveing a good spring.

Given how little spring results mean to me I doubt they mean more to other GMs but maybe worth seeing if any team not expecting to contend might want to trade for Bote. But then again the return would probably be so minimal it would be better to have Bote in Iowa in a “break glass in case of emergency” type of scenario

Shaw has some of the most PAs on the team so far.   In terms of minors league guys usually they give the most PAs to players they think may see MLB action this year.   Shaw has been looking really good offensively this spring, wonder if a late season callup is in the cards this year if there's an injury etc.   Hitting wise he looks pretty close.  Imagine they want to work him at 3B and 2B more in the minors.

What happens when Madrigal? For me I would rather see him and probably Cooper over Wisdom, Mervis and Dom Smith. I wouldn’t mind seeing the Cubs trade Wisdom. Maybe they get something for him, but really doesn’t matter if they don’t. I honestly wouldn’t mind a Wisdom/Wesneski package for a 5th starter. But not a must do, by any means.
