Tonight's broadcast has been hilarious, and only because of the chemistry between Boog and JD. No way Girardi or Mowins or Sutcliffe would be stretching out Taylor's semi-formal story over several innings

First order of trade business - Find a serviceable left-handed reliever not named Anthony Kay.

Start Wesneski and move Smyly to BP

I’d love to keep the moral high ground here, but I can’t help but wonder what the fallout would be if Rucker put one behind a Cardinal batter right now.

I just hope that Hoyer truly believes they have a great opportunity to not just make the playoffs but win too, hate to see them stay as is, or just add a couple minor upgrades, only to dip back under 500 by mid August or to be a one and done in the postseason.

Prior to this winning streak, Fangraphas had our playoff odds at 6.3 percent. It's now at 21.8 percent.

The Cards in that same span want from 11.6 to 4.0.

I said the same thing to a buddy of mine.

Just saw the Chip Caray clip. Holy horsefeathers,  shut the horsefeathers up. I know he is just pandering to that terrible fan base but come on

By contrast, Boog and JD did not go full meatball at Happ getting hit, but instead were just "well that was silly and that'll cost them." I imagine had the scenarios been reversed, that Chip and the other dude would have lost their minds over their batter being hit

Len and JD were also great about this, explaining what was happening and why and giving their takes without being stupid about it. We're lucky to have a booth of adults.

It's kind of funny how so many STL fans have been complaining about this because, paraphrasing, 'this is just the way it's done', meanwhile the only person in either booth who actually played in the 20th century - JD - was immediately calling Mikolas out as being bush league before the 2nd intentional pitch was even thrown.

Brad Thompson is the Cards color guy, so he's a former MLer but he's still a moron.

He replaced Dan Mclaughlin after the latter DWI'd himself for at least the second time because apparently 2 dumbass players killing themselves by driving drunk is still not enough for that organization.

Remarkable that even when they're a complete disaster they remain so hateable.

McLaughlin's mea culpa was actually pretty sincere and from the heart and involves some mental health issues causing a relapse so while I won't excuse his actions I'm not going to bag on him too much.
