I feel like the roster is starting to look a lot deeper than it has in a long time.  Not at every single position (DL is pretty dogwater, not enamored with LB after the first two) but in most spots.  I think that's a good thing

Bears have a stretch coming up at the end of the 4th start of the 5th with 4 picks in a 16 pick span. Noting the discussion on roster filler are we taking some gambles here?  Other than Edge and Center, any specific areas to target?

I wouldn't mind getting a linebacker at some point.  And project WRs who can sit for a season and try to break into relevance in 2024.  And honestly why not draft a longshot depth QB if you don't have one any given year?

Yeah my ideal would be to grab a C in the pick coming up in a few minutes here and then do exactly this.  Maybe add TE to the list too.

No. 133, 148, 165.

Really trying to figure out what the original thought was here. Considering it’s not even close to accurate.

Two 4s and Two 5s.

im guessing one interior OL, one DE/EDGE, one DB and one LB.

Then wild cards for the 7th rounders.

0-2 so far.

not upset with RBs and WRs here in the 4th.

This draft is almost like a Rorschach test for people. The have so many needs, so depending on a person’s perspective, Poles is either doing well or screwing up. From my perspective, he’s addressing needs in their order of importance to making the team better. I don’t know enough to comment on the actual people they picked, but the strategy appears sound enough to me.

Matt Miller at ESPN had Scott at #57, Dan Brugler at the Athletic had him at 48.  Seems like pretty great value

My phone shows they have 133, 136, 140 and 148?

I’ve been at a wedding all weekend so relying on various apps to keep me up to date and that’s what it says

RB1 seems to be a stretch. But I guess this guy could be described as a cheaper Montgomery based on the few things I’ve read.

I’m not sure about that either but he’s one of my favorite guys to come out of Texas the last 20 years and will become one of the staff favorites instantly. Best leader on and off the field, all business and very smart player

He will thrive in a 2 back system and will force his way as the primary back at some point.

The description here makes more sense than the claim that he’s RB1. He’s a role player that lacks high end speed. He’ll be fine, but he’s not THE GUY.
