No, but thanks to dynamic pricing they can charge significantly higher prices for a fanbase that travels well.

Plus, Chicago is close enough that many fans will travel to KC without going to the game and spend money in the city, which is more than they can say about any other game on their schedule, including their division rivals. Nobody is leaving LA, Vegas or Denver for KC.

The Bears are also their closest opponent geographically that they have at home so that'll naturally help that be the Chiefs highest grossing revenue game.

That's crazy.  There are maybe 6 teams closer to Chicago than Kansas City is (Green Bay, Minnesota, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Detroit, Cleveland) but to Kansas City, Chicago is the closest

Accurate.  I'm 4 hours from KC, Chicago is 4.5, Indy is less than 3.5.

Trying to triangulate you

Confused Thinking GIF

Anyways, according to drive time stadium to stadium, Lucas Oil edges out Soldier Field by about an hour of drive time. But considering the broader CHI base and prob better flight options, and a fan base that travels, likely thier strongest road revenue turnout  for the city.

Nashville also about equal drive time as Chicago fwiw.

Technically, Indianapolis is closer but they don't play them this year.

LOL. Didn't realize there was a new page.

Chicago 509 miles to KC

Indianapolis is 482 miles

Dallas is actually 505 miles

Denver 603

Minneapolis is actually 436 per google maps, so that's actually the closest to KC in the league.

Figured. St. Louis is basically 5 hours from every Midwestern city. I went to SLU and every Midwestern City was represented with a cache of students, 5 hours from home.

Official now: the Bears will have to play the Chiefs in Arrowhead.  Makes the schedule a little bit more difficult, though I'm not sure we beat them in Germany either.

Maybe this is old news and I'm only just hearing it (likely), but apparently the conference tie-ins of FOX and CBS are going away this season?

I don't have insider, but apparently the Bears have 6 of Miller's top 100 picks.

16. Darnell Wright, OT, Chicago Bears (Pick 1-10)

27. Tyler Scott, WR, Chicago Bears (Pick 4-133)

44. Terell Smith, CB, Chicago Bears (Pick 5-165)

46. Roschon Johnson, RB, Chicago Bears (Pick 4-115)

68. Gervon Dexter Sr., DT, Chicago Bears (Pick 2-53)

82. Tyrique Stevenson, CB, Chicago Bears (Pick 2-56)

The Bears can roll with Braxton Jones at left tackle -- a favorite of mine from the 2022 draft -- after trading down twice and grabbing the best right tackle in the draft at No. 10 overall. Wright will be a foundational piece of the offensive line, but I'm also looking at the extra selections the Bears picked up to continue building.

The selection of Scott at No. 133 was one of the best value picks when graded against my pre-draft rankings, where I had him No. 57 overall. Scott's speed and vertical ability will work well in a wide receiver room that offers diverse skill sets, and his ability as a return man will also boost the Chicago special teams unit.

Smith came at an almost 90-spot value when he was drafted in the fifth round. His speed at cornerback is easy to spot on film, and he has huge developmental upside. Jaylon Johnson is set to be a free agent after this season, and Smith could be his replacement.

A do-it-all running back with awesome special teams ability and leadership skills, Johnson could be this year's Dameon Pierce as a third-day back who ends up a lead ball carrier. The Bears have D'Onta Foreman and Khalil Herbert, but a team source told me after the draft that the former Texas backup has the upside to end up Chicago's featured back.

The Bears didn't add a starting-caliber defensive tackle in free agency, making it the team's biggest need on defense heading into the draft. Dexter is an upside player who wasn't used to his full potential at Florida. But in Chicago, he'll be tasked with lining up at 3-technique and using his great first-step speed to disrupt the quarterback.

The Bears have thrown a lot of draft picks at the secondary, but the outside cornerback spot opposite Jaylon Johnson remains open because Kyler Gordonis at his best on the inside. Stevenson was a slight reach, but he has the press-man coverage skills and toughness at the line of scrimmage to make up for that as a good scheme fit and need-based pick in Chicago.

Last time that happened was 2006 👀

Never thought I'd see the day when the Lions were a prime time season opening team.

So we will at least start and end the regular season with wins, which is nice.

Take with a grain of salt but some other potentially leaked Bears games I’ve seen from other teams.  I'll add the Packers games too in order to track the schedule in its entirety.  I realize we'll get all this info at 6 but I'm a dork that likes to put this together lol.  The ones with stars next to them are leaks from legit people.

Week 1 - vs. Green Bay*

Week 3 - @ Kansas City

Week 5 - @ Washington (TNF)*

Week 6 - vs Minnesota*

Week 10 - vs Carolina (TNF pt 2)

Week 11 - @ Detroit

Week 12 - @ Minnesota (MNF)*

Week 14 - vs. Detroit

Week 15 - @ Cleveland

Week 18 - @ Green Bay*

Edit 1: Seeing a few more leaks, adding Chiefs and Lions games

Bears at Browns week 15. It's from the @nerdingonNFL twitter.. sounds like a good source

Just added thanks. I also read that the Bears will have 4 prime time games and only 2 announced so far. Let’s see if we continue our tradition of having 3 road prime time games for ever 1 home prime time game

Also, when was the last time the Bears played in Green Bay during the day? This has to be the first time in a long time

Bears also have a second TNF game in Week 10 at home vs. Carolina.  So lame.

Hopefully the final night game is a Sunday Night Game.  Would be weird to be shut out the entire season from SNF, especially with a marketable QB

Does that mean their bye is Week 9? I thought teams couldn't play 2 Thursday games unless they played one Week 1 or Thanksgiving

Missing games:

vs Arizona

vs Atlanta

vs. Denver

vs. Las Vegas

at Chargers

at Saints

at Buccaneers

If we're looking at a potential SNF game (they have to have a SNF game right?!?! Chicago, Justin Fields, etc) I guess at Chargers is the best bet.  Doesn't seem like any of the remaining homes have SNF appeal.
