Guess what 32 idiots who own NFL team did this offseason...

My guess is Mitch Trubisky himself

Wentz is a tough QB to commit to, my feel is the Colts wanted out early especially after a collapse down the stretch. His injury history is pretty serious: a concussion (those are forever) against the Seahawks during the playoffs in 2019 was immediately followed with leading the league in INTs and a sub-60% competition rate for 2020, the knee in 2017 cost him alot of athleticism, and there's some back and foot stuff mixed in too. He came into the league as one of the better athletes at the position but that's long gone...

Rumors are the Giants want Mitch and assuming there is a real possibility of starting, I'm sure he'd want to play under Daboll again.

I still don't think Mitch will be all that great as a starter, but I'm absolutely terrified at the possibility of that happening. If that happens I'm going to Lake Forest and trashing Nagy's $6m home that's on the market.

You're terrified of Biscuit becoming a great starter with the Giants? Lol.

yes, because it would mean that the Bears are the fools, 100% and that is harder to swallow then the idea that Mitch just wasn't up to snuff

If Mitch is a good QB in the next couple years it would really test the random NFL coaches can always find a job theory. Nagy should never step foot on a football field again if that were to happen. Conversely, Ryan Pace would have to be the hottest GM candidate in the world.

it would be pretty wild, no doubt. but also Pace's rating should still be tempered by his other moves and the fact he had such a high draft pick to begin with. its not like he picked Mitch in the 7th round

Presumably it would still be a strike against him as there were 3 choices for him and he traded up to take the one that needed the right HC and environment to make him good and presumably he'd still be the worst of the 3 (off the field issues aside)

I'm confused about his season and the Colts desire to trade him. His numbers look solid, but I didn't watch him a ton. I know the whole team fell flat on their faces against Jacksonville but unless the Colts have an immediate better option not sure the rush to trade him.

Rumblings that Wentz isn't mentally tough as QBs go and didn't take coaching well. I have no idea to what extent any of that is true, but reportedly when he found out he was on shaky ground with the team he tried to talk to the owner about it and the owner blew him off, so safe to say he wasn't well-liked.

Trubisky was one of the most inaccurate passers I ever watched play a football game at the NFL level. That said, I always wanted him to be good, mostly for the Bears. I just can't envision a time where he will all of a sudden be accurate on his throws to the point he can be considered a "good" QB.

Good for Adams he cashed in while the iron was hot, for the Packers is it really going to be that much of a loss? They'll be someone else who emerges simply because Rodgers is at QB maybe, someone they draft with the picks coming back, seems everything they touch, at least in the regular season, turns to gold. And it horsefeathering sucks...

A report stated that GB offered more money than LV and Adams chose the trade. Was his relationship with Rodgers not good? Why would he leave if the money was the same? I heard he was buddies with Derek Carr but it still doesn't make sense to me. I just hope Rodgers is all pissed off about it.

That said, GB will be able to draft four WR in the top 53 or whatever if they want. They won't, but they will have many options to adding cheap production with this deal.

Overall, GB trading Adams after resigning Rodgers makes no sense to me

Adams also grew up in the bay area so the Raiders were his team. That usually doesn't matter, but maybe it did in this case?

If they had to move on from Adams, why would that mean they wouldn't still want to keep the reigning MVP at QB?

Seems like Adams felt disrespected about the negotiations that occurred last summer, where his camp and the Packers had very different ideas about the definition of "highest paid" (based on Hopkins 27.5 average being two years tacked on to the end of an existing contract), and that he wasn't going to be back with the Packers no matter what.

If that's the case, can't ask for much more than a 1 and a 2

i thought lebron was more decent than this

You did?

I let out a huge sigh of relief when I heard the deal on the radio. It was going to take all the joy out of watching the Saints had he signed here.

That aside, the Saints are better off with Jameis and keeping their picks instead of this debacle.

Uh, you know Jameis has multiple sexual assault allegations right? Let's not act like he's some model citizen.

I do, and I’m not dismissing that. I honestly don’t know much about that case 10 years ago, but I do know what a creep Watson is. I’m happy he is going to Cleveland.

Nah, losing Adams actually does hurt. He’s a legit top talent unlike a lot of other Packer players who are Rodgers products. I don’t know that it will blow them up or anything but there’s definitely pain from losing him.

What kind of suspension do you think Watson will get? Chance he gets nothing?

He reportedly structured his contract so he receives as little as possible in base salary this year, so he clearly thinks he's getting something.

Wait, how can you not know all about that?
