  1. I was just coming here to say that even though nsbb isn't really the same thing as it used to be, it's pretty cool to hear an nsbb article discussed on the radio
  2. I can’t figure out at all what mastrobuoni was going for there.
  3. This is weird! I can’t see the social forum! That’s pretty much the only reason i come here anymore, so i suppose you should make me an old timey member or whatever. K, thanks
  4. The rodgers cap hit is less for the packers if he stays. Also, cobb is a free agent. Jets showing interest in Rodgers bros Cobb, Lazard, and Marcedes Lewis so far. I’m pretty sure the deal is essentially done at this point. I’m interested in hearing about how much Tom hates all of this.
  5. The last couple years when I’ve watched games (which is very rarely), I’ve used my in-laws Mediacom credentials to log in to the marquee app on a fire stick. It doesn’t seem to be working so far this year. Anyone else running into a similar issue? I wonder if they are cracking down on password sharing or something.
  6. I believe it’s Don. But the always use the dumb gameshow emcee tribute for….why??? They always use it because it's his nickname
  7. I am the sort of Packers fan that has almost no love for Aaron Rodgers, other than when he is good on the football field. I think he is the kind of horsefeathers that loves to goof around and have fun, but the moment anything is aimed back at him he can't handle it and turns into a giant penis. He is the Joe Rogan type of contrarian moron who thinks is he really, really smart, but actually doesn't understand a god damned thing. I have appreciated his play over the years, but it's very clear he sucks (although not even close to the same level as Watson or Bauer, or even Kane, imo) and I am not going to be sad when the Packers move on. That said, I have never ever gotten the impression that he is a Trumper. I definitely don't think he likes Biden, but I highly doubt he pays any bit of attention to what goes on in politics. He isn't the standard brainwashed conservative loon the same way Cousins is, for example. He is very careful with how he presents himself, so I don't think you can pin him down, but if I had to guess I would say he leans towards the hippy/libertarian/homeopathy and herbs/all politicians suck/the minorities I know are all millionaires so I can't really understand why people think there is so much racism side of things. But who knows :dontknow:
  8. Oh, you're not missing anything. The Cubs need a catcher, a horsefeathering All-Star was available for a prospect and instead he goes to a division rival. Of course he probably doesn't pitch-frame well enough either or something. Don't forgot that there were TWO pretty darn good catchers available for prospects in this deal!
  9. I want to know how many unique abbreviations Tom has for the word probably.
  10. Signing them may or may not be an example of stupid spending, but dumping them is just evidence that they aren't falling for the sunk cost fallacy.
  11. Does it count as botching it if there wasn't a worthwhile offer? I'd be more upset with a crap ass, underwhelming return. At least now they'll either get to extend him, try trading him again next year, or choose exactly which prospect they want in the draft.
  12. Due to his recent cold play?
  13. Wait, what did the league do to him?
  14. Yes but can you fill us in on the part where two old white guys discuss how you can't prove that Donaldson is a racist pos?
  15. Seems like he's been doing that to make fun of Anderson ever since Anderson (I'm assuming in jest) called himself the new Jackie Robinson during a dispute with MLB a couple years ago. Donaldson probably thinks that's very funny. In today's Tribune, Donaldson said that the two of them have been joking about it for the past two years. Maybe Donaldson is a racist or maybe not. Maybe Anderson is a jerk for comparing himself to a legend or maybe not. Maybe this guy can horsefeathers off or maybe not
  16. His weird whisper voice was definitely annoying, but I think it got better as the season went along.
  17. Now that the details have been reported, the Adams deal is essentially 3 years 65 million, so.... not much more than Christian Kirk. Pain. I think the Packers will be ok, but this one definitely hurts.
  18. Adams also grew up in the bay area so the Raiders were his team. That usually doesn't matter, but maybe it did in this case? If they had to move on from Adams, why would that mean they wouldn't still want to keep the reigning MVP at QB? Seems like Adams felt disrespected about the negotiations that occurred last summer, where his camp and the Packers had very different ideas about the definition of "highest paid" (based on Hopkins 27.5 average being two years tacked on to the end of an existing contract), and that he wasn't going to be back with the Packers no matter what. If that's the case, can't ask for much more than a 1 and a 2
  19. Tatted up, mediocre former Pirate pitcher for the second year in a row.
  20. Halfway through your sentence I was sure you were going to bring up the timing of their apparent pursuit of Chelsea
  21. To me it seems like you'd have to do a lot more cherry picking to support Manfred's statement than to disprove it.
  22. Lotta mouth pieces defending this one. And maybe Hightower is a good coach , but this is probably the first big coach disappointment with the Bissaccia rumors. Not the least of which because it looks like he'll land in GB. Really interesting if Eberflus fills out his entire staff and doesn't get any former HC. Maybe Marinelli still in play for DL? No idea how good he is but I love hiring the guy whose unit almost single handedly eliminated the Packers from the playoffs if only for trolling reasons If that was your primary qualification, you should have hired Maurice Drayton.
  23. Hill was a check down there I'm pretty sure. Mahomes should have thrown it away when the end zone reads were not immediately open.
  24. I'm not worried, although interestingly I saw on Twitter someone ask the question and I had to look it up. Has a first time GM hired a first time HC and that pair eventually won a Super Bowl. I could only find one example. Not saying it's predictive, but kind of an interesting stat. Ron Wolf and Mike Holmgren Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy
