    having 762 total home runs while only hitting 50 once is unfathomable. maintaining just like 5 years of sustained excellence in this sport is extremely tough. to average 35 homers over a 22 year stretch doesn't seem naturally possible. Fixed

    It could be groupthink, or it could be that a lot of people are independently coming to the same conclusion. Considering how often conversations happen in which people that generally agree with each other devolve into multi-paragraph, multi-page, neverending back-and-forth arguments over minutia, I'd vote for the former. Feel free to disagree though!

I'm justing saying they have risen over the low-moral-bar that is the Cubs organization. They are awarded no points. What did they do to rise above the Cub's low bar? They fired the taunty super horsefeathers who forgot to pretend to care. Correct me if I'm wrong, the Cubs never had an incident like that, right? *I find the Cubs organization to be overall pretty terrible and am not trying to defend their actions regarding DV which have been bad

    It will probably be a part of most packages, but I sure am not planning on going out of my way to get the stupid Marquee network. Of course that's easy to say during this current streak - I'm sure they'll be able to pull me back in with a decent off-season and spring excitement.

    the Yankees did not have to give up a future superstar to acquire Chapman When they acquired him it was right after the dv allegations, from what I remember, and it was unclear how long he'd be suspended, so his value was extremely low at the time. His value was very different when the Cubs traded for him.
