    Update, since I know everyone is dying to see how things have gone. Traded Kyler Murray for Tyreek Hill. Picked up Herbert. Traded Mostert, Beckham, and Tonyan for Travis Kelce (this was immediately terrible for my trading partner obviously). Picked up Ekeler and stashed him on IR. Started 1-5. After the trades, the only week I lost was when the chiefs were on bye. Finished 8-6, top scoring, third place. Playoffs start this weekend. I'm hoping the chiefs need to keep playing for the top seed. I love fantasy football.

    I had a coworker point out that a Cubs reliever got an MVP vote this year and thought for sure it was Jeffress. Nope, it was a dude with an ERA just under 4. And the guy who voted for him is a St Louis writer. There was an article explaining that it was a mistake - he was trying to give Trea Turner a vote

    I don't think Bauer was a bad choice, I just don't understand how Bauer was such a slam dunk over Darvish by the voters. Can anyone explain it to me or is there no explanation?

    I hate fantasy. I feel like my roster is pretty strong and I'm third in total points, yet I am sitting at 1-4. QB Kyler Murray RB Alvin Kamara RB Aaron Jones RB Raheem Mostert WR Amari Cooper WR Calvin Ridley WR Odell Beckham WR Chris Godwin WR Marquis Brown TE Robert Tonyan (Just dumped Higbee for him) Streaming defense and kicker Ridley and Cooper getting basically shutout for a game over the last two weeks kind of lost me both weeks. Should I do anything drastic or just ride it out? Again, I hate fantasy.

    I had what is probably my best week ever as well. 200+ in a league were 100 is a typical winning score. Murray, Kamara, Jones, Ridley, Higbee, and even my kicker Koo all went crazy. Cooper was my worst starter, and he went 6 for 100 yards.

    For some reason I'm rooting for Heyward and Darvish to have their highest Cub WAR this year. It's pretty close. The market inefficiency that Theo was taking advantage of in the free agent market all these years was players that are best during a global pandemic.

    Yeah I’d be intrigued if they think the pitch mix change is a real thing. Also Strasburg is done for the year and the Nats are 9-13. Any of Howie, Eaton or Asdrubal would be nice offense targets. Tanner Rainey as a RP target from them too. Asdrubal Cabrera and a reliever makes way too much sense. Sean Doolittle is a pending FA and about to come off the IL, if he looks right his next few outings he'd be perfect. Doolittle seems like a great person too, which is a nice bonus.

    Dude got wasted drunk and pulled a gun on a female food delivery driver when she arrived at his house. I'm not going to lose sleep over not adding that kind of person to the organization. There is more to the story than you are making it seem. I don't really know much about Maxwell other than what I read in an ESPN story a couple weeks ago, but 1) getting wasted drunk doesn't make someone a bad person and 2) he was in a really dark place where he thought he needed to be armed because of receiving death threats, and 3) they dropped the charges related to pointing the gun at the girl because they agreed with him (a raging black man!) that he didn't do it.     Bryant has the 4th highest wOBA among the starting 3b they have listed (Bregman way ahead, Arenado a bit ahead, Donaldson in a virtual tie), so the low ranking comes down to playing time and defense (A slight negative). They have Bryant with 180 plate appearances, while pretty much everyone ahead of him is in the 230-250 range. I wonder if the playing time projection is based on injuries or if he gets too many appearances at other positions, diluting his value for this sort of exercise.
