Geeze, guess what a millionaire with a sports betting app did this time? WTF was he thinking?

Apparently he was betting parlays which reassured the NFL that he wasn't betting based on inside info and this likely kept him from getting a much more severe punishment and possibly banishment

Very relatable. I have a hard time watching non-Bears games without some sort of gambling involved (including fantasy)

Same. Jax vs Miami at 830am from London had to bet that game

Not idiot owner but an idiot player this time

I bet $1500 that there are several more Pro athletes using Draftkings and such and betting on their own sport

every time I see this as the catch all thread title for nfl stuff now:

Has the "guess what _ idiots did" thread title jumped the shark? Don't get me wrong its been epic but like 90% of new threads start with this lol

It jumped the derwood, but that's different.

Sucks but expected IMO. Bears fans can never catch a break. Hopefully he has a late career drop off like Favre and we can get some shots in before he retires.

Apparently they are acquiescing to all Rodgers' demands, including giving him input on some personnel decisions. They backed the truck up and kissed his feet.

Definitely shows that the Love pick was a fail, and they know it.

Also, they franchised Adams. Not sure how he feels about that.

Seems like its going to take a crapload of restructuring elsewhere to keep the team afloat since they were already way over the cap. I'm sure they'll magically find a way to do it, but its not going to be easy.

Wonder what happens to Love...poor dude. I don't think he's any good but he also wont have much opportunity to confirm that unless GB trades him

Wasn’t GB is cap space hell to begin with?

This is what I'm curious about. My understanding was that to keep Aaron and Davante this year they basically needed to make nearly every other cut and restructure they could. Is that still the case, or did this just kick the can, and one hell of a can, down the road another year?

His deal actually creates cap space for them.

I get how that works, but damn doesn't seem right to me.

To hell with it, he sucks in the playoffs hopefully that continues. He watched both Brady and Stafford move on and win Super Bowls. But he sticks around in GB. Hope it blows up in his COVID-denying face.

He must be P'd off although he probably won't say that. This isn't Favre / Rodgers where Rodgers was clearly ready. Love needs real work, actual first-team work and probably starts, right now. Especially after s*** the bed when he played this year. He's not going to "age" well on the bench. My guess is that his agent pushes for a trade. It's the right move for him. It's also the right move for GB, no?

Uhh he’s not wrong

And what does Dolphins owner Stephen Ross get for trying to pay Flores to tank? I'm sure there will be some evidence, nothing conclusive, and nothing will happen, but hearing Goodell talk about the sanctity of the game if this is true is quite the double standard.
