To be fair, that is a perfectly rational response from someone who is subject to the mercies of the Mets' training staff.

they probably would have electrocuted him with the MRI machine. to get out of this with only season-ending surgery will be a blessing.

Oh, look at me, I'm such a good pitcher. I don't need to rest, because I'm Noah Syndergaard. I don't need an MRI, because I'm Noah S...

This might be a top 10 all time post on this Forum. Certainly a top 3 Simpsons reference post.

After leaving his Sunday start early against the Washington Nationals with a lat injury, New York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard reportedly could miss three months.

According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, Syndergaard is getting a second opinion from Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles, and the three-month timetable is a conservative one.

Just a simple lat strain, they said

Kluber to the DL with a back injury, Hamels out indefinitely (2+ months apparently) with an oblique injury

Volquez to the DL with blisters and Nola is getting an MRI after his back stiffened up again during a rehab session.

Harvey is having his start skipped today and suspended 3 games for some sort of team conduct rule breaking.

Someone suggested on Twitter that Harvey was the one who slipped the sex toy into Plawecki's locker, but I have no idea if that was serious.

Terry Collins.... How do you prepare for a suspension?

He also said that the Mets had prepared for the possibility of a suspension on Saturday night, when they beat the Marlins, 11-3.

“To be honest,” Collins said, “there were some moves made last night because we felt this might occur, that we had to protect our pitching staff a little bit.” He did not say what the moves were.

Good lord, these people at Mets Refugees are delusional. They all want to trade Harvey, but they think they could get something good in return. Who in their right mind would give up something of value for Matt horsefeathering Harvey right now? Every part of his body has been injured, he's been absolutely horrible when he has pitched the last two years, and he's a clubhouse cancer. He's ruined. And they still have no idea that things are never going to get better for them.
