Do they make a new thread at Mets Refugees every time one of their pitchers has elbow discomfort or do they just have one injury mega-thread?

Pretty sure they make a new one and then it pretty much goes with them saying they are fine because Wheeler can just take the injured pitchers spot (even tho he hasn't pitched in god knows how long) and then saying Syndergaard, Harvey and DeGrom are all good for 30+ ace like starts so who cares. Also Cespedes is the greatest offensive player ever so if he's healthy he will hit 100 HRs to make up for losing pitchers.

i basically go over there to laugh every time this thread is bumped.

their denial is so strong...it reminds me of us in 04-06. "when are we finally going to see the big 5 in a row?!"

they still haven't realized the answer is never and if they even do, they're probably not gonna be good anyway.

So he'll be able to be back in 5-7 weeks, in time to take Harvey, DeGrom's or Wheeler's spot. I'm heading to Vegas this weekend, planning on putting a not small wager on the Mets under 91 (where I last saw it, may be different at the book), think there's a lot of value there. The downside is huge and even their upside is a 87-90 win team.

Will Smith is having TJ surgery.

Thornburg also having shoulder issues, I believe, for the Red Sox. Brewers have known when to get rid of relief pitchers the last 2 years.

Met starting pitcher Seth Lugo has a slight tear in his UCL, but will avoid surgery in lieu of the almost never successful platelet rich plasma injection followed by rest. So much for any rotation depth in New York this year.

Over at MetsRefugees...

Lester arrieta kendricks lackey 30+ starts 200 innings in their sleep

But we have 7 young studs and have injury after injury lol

Hehehehehe.

At least they got a world series appearance out of it. Thats more than we got when we stupidly built a team around young pitchers.
