The new plan is for Zack Wheeler to take two turns in the rotation and throw 450 innings this year.

And up Cespedes HR total to 300 on the year

Cespedes is doing his part.

Cespedes just left the game with an injury. Also hurt are the perpetually hurt d'Arnaud, Duda, Wright, and Matz. I really thought this would be the year they'd get all those guys healthy.

It's great to see the Mets stuck in 2004 Cubs mode over the last year. They are gonna lose 90+ games in the next 2 years. Oft-injured pitching, awful manager, injured/aging offensive players, bad defense, manager/FO horsefeathering around with their one young offensive player (C-Patt and Conforto), it's actually pretty shocking the similarities.

That picture is very funny, but it also really points to the delusion of those fans. They think that, like in "Homer at the Bat," their players are constantly succumbing to mysterious, absurd maladies because they are unlucky. When in reality, every single one of these injuries was incredibly predictable.

lmao idiot

Damn it, David. Just beat me to it. Anyways, yeah generally I think players should be able to do what they want.... But dirt biking in the middle of the season seems like a not wise decision.

That's a shame. He came back this year throwing 1.2mph harder than he's ever thrown and his peripherals were looking like 2013 Miller was back.

Shelby is getting the dreaded second opinion.
