yeah that was great, he started blaming a guy that poured water on Hazelbaker and how that threw off the timing for it

A Cardinal not knowing how to drink ruins everything for everyone yet again.

Hazelbaker has all the makings of the typical Cardinals extremely annoying high intensity white guy who OPS' .850 and then sucks anywhere else

That horse will never die and should be rode often.

Unless a Cardinal is riding it.

jfc, this stuff has to be made up right?

Edit: He doesn't even have his Cardinal history right

It doesn't hurt that one of the greatest moments in baseball, coming in the 2006 World Series, happened to be by a Cardinals player—not only that, but a St. Louis native born and raised. Every knowledgable sports fan can recall when David Freese hit a solo home run to center field to send the World Series to a game seven along with Joe Buck's infamous call, "We will see you tomorrow night!"

Holy crap that's awful. On top of getting the dates wrong, I think "Buck's infamous call" was also during the Red Sox-Yankees ALCS when the Sox came back from down 3-0 not a Cardinals series, though maybe he recycled the phrase.

So the Chicago Tribune pays to run an article written by unabashed Cardinal fan Will Leitch. The theme of the article is "yeah the Cubs are good but the Cardinals always succeed as underdogs". Why the hell would the Trib run this article?

This is especially rich:

As a Cardinals fan, if you asked me to switch rosters with the Cubs, I would have to consider it seriously.

You think?

He'd seriously have to consider trading rosters!

Lmfao what a joke, there's not a Cubs fan alive or dead who would even CONSIDER trading for the cardinals roster.

Unless there were some cubs fans who really enjoyed high draft picks.

Guilty as charged, but if there's one thing I love more than high draft picks it's endless long dong after dong.

is it worth noting that the Cardinals are significantly out-donging us currently

ESPN seemingly has them as the #1 offense at the moment, which cannot stand.

It won't stand. That offense is not good, and time will bear that out.

is anybody blaming Wainwright's start on having him come back last year and pitch out of the bullpen for no reason?
