I know they are completely different scenarios in terms of having to trade up (and I don't know if Phi was "hailed nationally"), but still interesting how similar the situations were.The Eagles also had signed Bradford to a 2/36 deal, similar to Glennon.

Who was compared to Braun? Someone said it about Almora pre-draft. I think it was by a scout who hopefully doesn't work for the Cubs. I remember posting in the draft thread a side by side...tweet?...maybe link...that showed Almora and Braun's swings looking pretty in sync. It was kind of laughed at even then. -
You like Davis more than Mike Williams? I was thinking Mike Williams as a possibility at 3, not Davis so much. I know it's not directed at me but I like Corey Davis infinitely more than Mike Williams. It would probably be a trade down though, but David passes the eye test and has multiple years of elite production.

A) You don't know that. Players can see the Bears are committing to Glennon and realize the team is a joke and not worth playing for. I lol'd when Rapoport was on TV yesterday saying that unnamed free agents were texting him to confirm the Bears were in fact signing Glennon because they wanted to play for him because LEADER.

None of these guys are without risk, but if you can add Gilmore, Swearinger, AND a DB in the 1st (Adams/Hooker/Lattimore, maybe a trade down), I'd be pretty giddy.

A reminder that Free Agency begins this afternoon. Or at least the legal tampering period. But I believe verbal agreements can be made today (correct me if I'm wrong).

Obi Melifonwu just had a 44-inch vertical and a completely insane long jump. And he looks jacked. Don't think he lasts to the 2nd.

Trubiski ended up measuring 6'2.25. While it isn't anything special, it isn't the 6'1 that Mayock heard rumblings of. So that's good. I'm still on the Adams train though.

Then mute him if you hate him, and just watch the tape. You'll be hard pressed to find film that shows so much footage without It being shitty highlight tapes of interceptions that can make any player look good.

After looking at a good deal of video of them today, Adams looks like a complete beast. I want him. Not that Hooker won't be awesome, but Adams just looks out of this world. Do you guys like Adams more than Hooker? I honestly can't decide between he two, they both are seriously amazing. Between Allen and these two, I'm definitely becoming anti-1st round QB.

This has probably been literally posted for for about 10 pages, but holy crap at this awful depressing ass postgame. How the horsefeathers do you care THAT much that they used Chapman for the most important at bat of the game and the next inning. He obviously wouldn't have started the 9th of the lead was expanded earlier. But the worst part was the horsefeathering depressing interview questions. Rosenthal's first words to Arrieta, "Jake, how dissappapinted were you that you could only go 5 and 2/3rds and you guys had to bring Chapman into the game?" To Kipnis: "No loss is a good loss, but you guys have to at least feel good you got Chapman into the game, right?" No you douche, feel bad that he owned you and will so again tomorrow. How awesome would it be if Chapman just went 3 dominant innings tomorrow and looked filthy?

A Jon Lester complete game would be an acceptable alternative. I'd settle for a 16 inning nail-biter where the bullpen gets exhausted and David Ross gets the World Series winning save.
