Cutch 3 run HR

Cruz finally made the 3rd out. Pirates sent 14 to the plate in the first.

I get that it's the Rockies, but surely they have someone else they can run out there other then Senzetela. If not, sign Rich Hill so he can get the most teams played for record.

That PIT-COL game had some ridiculous horsefeathers happen

Bart had 4 walks and a HBP

Tovar had 4 doubles - shades of Matt Murton

Cruz threw out Doyle (one of the fastest players in the game) trying to get a triple on a laser from the LC warning track

That condensed game is a lot of fun

If you have mlb I believe you can watch the condensed game and pick your broadcast. But I am not sure.🤷 Can you imagine the Cubs thread if the Cubs lost a game like that? Jed would have been crucified for trading for overrated pen arms.

Don't forget the Yankees also acquire Jose Caballero (from the Rays) and he made a crucial error that tied up the game.

I have always wanted to attend a game like this. With the Cubs coming out on top of course. Closest I’ve seen is some of those early 2000s games against the Cards where no lead from either team is safe.

I was at one of the worst of those kinds of games. July 20, 2004.

St. Louis scored one in the first, but the Cubs scored 7 in the bottom of the second off Matt Morris. I thought we had that one in the bag and I was enjoying a beautiful day at the ballpark.

The Cardinals clawed their way back thanks to Pujols going 5-5 with 3 HR. Cubs lost 11-8 after LaTroy Hawkins gave up 3 in the 9th. That was a painful one.

Toronto just set a league record with 63 hits in a 3 game series

They outscored the Rockies 45-6 over those 3 games

The Rockies now have a -316 run differential. The 2nd worst this year is the Nationals at -142. Last year's historically terrible White Sox team had a -306. The worst run differential in the modern era is the 1932 Boston Red Sox with a -349. The Rockies still have 48 games to go.......

9/12/98, I road tripped back to Chicago and caught the game vs Milwaukee they win on a walk off Orlando Merced HR. Sammy hit his 60th. Cubs were down 10-2 at one point.

I was in 2nd or 3rd row of upper deck down left field line. Place was rocking.

You and I were at the same game.  I was in the CF bleachers...only game I went to that year.  Was always disappointed I missed 61 and 62 by a day, but still saw number 60 and a crazy comeback.

horsefeathers I remember that game.  I remember leaving for my college job when it was 7-1, then checking the score a few times and every time I checked Pujols hit another HR.

It wasnt as crazy, but I was a Dodgers/Phillies game back in 2002 that felt similar. Final score was 10-8. Both teams had multiple 3+ run innings throughout the game. Was a really fun affair, especially for someone attending who was neither a Phillies or a Dodgers fan.
