What's this about?

Murphy read the following made up letter when they clinched. some people thought it was really from Uecker, (he didn't clarify until later). i thought it was pretty obvious that it wasn't meant to be real, but i still think it's pretty horsefeathers odd.

Quote

“Howdy boys, never a doubt you would get this invitation. You did it by believing. Really miss you guys and I wish I was there. Things are good. The God Almighty picked me to be on this team up here, albeit [as] the third catcher. It’s a great league, no day games after night games. No shadows, but you got all the sticky you need to have up here. Told the big guy about you guys. Play hard every night. Not afraid to play for each other. He’s obviously very interested with the group with this uncommon goodness. I know you guys don’t really need me, but I’ll tell you guys … I’ll be on the headset every night watching. And don’t forget to take it all in, enjoy, and keep it light, believe in each other.”

Watching Dodgers national broadcasts is sometimes tedious, I know all announcing crews are homers.  Dodgers crew takes to a new level, all they do is blab about the Dodgers greatness.  Being crappy players such as Ben Rortvedt, Kiké Hernández and Conforto or not, doesn't matter, they're all the best.

Watching games like theirs gives me a much larger appreciation for the main trio we get. Joe Davis is such a knob.

So Oriole pitcher Trevor Rogers started the year recovering from injury and missed a good deal of the season. Since his return, in 106.2 IP he has posted a 1.35 ERA 2.31 FIP and 3.85 xFIP with with 3.6 fWAR going into tonight's 6IP 1H 0ER 2BB 7K performance. Does he show up on the Cy Young ballet despite the limited innings?

Not to be confused with Taylor and Tyler Rogers, who are twins and are unrelated to this guy.

Identical twins apparently.  One throws LH the other RH lol.

Joint Competition Committe voting on ABS today. Sounds like it will be approved for 2026. If it is, I know of one Cubs DH that should be estatic.

The Age of Robot Umps has arrived.

I can't wait until some bonehead wastes a challenge in the 2nd or 3rd inning on an obviously good call.

That bonehead is PCA, who has recently argued a lot of clear strikes

Guardians/Tigers was nuts last night. The inning Skubal imploded reminded me of that 2017 Game 5 against the Nats, just went back and watched those highlights....truly the dumbest game ever.
