Ohtani had threw three straight pitches over 100 last night.

Is Ohtani trying to go for TJS #3? He can dial it back and still be very effective. I mean if you're going to throw this hard, at least save this effort (and velo) for the postseason.

The Horton start last week, did they even offer at any of his breaking/off speed stuff?   Although, I don't know how the cheating works on the road, I was under the impression it was solely a home field "advantage".

Paul Skenes currently has more bWAR (4.8) than wins (4)

In his last 11 starts, he’s allowed 11 runs. He gave up 4 in 1 game and 2 in another. The other 8 he gave up either 0 or 1. He’s 1-3 over those starts.

Starts at 7pm?

7:19 first pitch.

I guess that it's bed time.

As annoying Chris Berman was, he was more entertaining than these guys

Can someone point me to the real Home Run Derby?  The one with the actual top HR hitters.

Yeah, this lineup is NBA slam dunk contest-esque

Yeah, Jazz predictably did terribly.

Lol. Raleigh winning a tiebreaker to knock out Rooker by 0.08 feet might be the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen.

Dumber than the split screen where you don’t actually see where the balls end up? ESPN is so terrible at everything anymore.

Both dumb but yes the tiebreaker is worse. No way they can project how far each of those would have traveled down to the inch. Just do a swing off like they’ve always done.

Has anyone seen PCA, Tucker or Boyd at all during the home run derby? I am shocked not to see PCA up front watching and having fun.

I believe I saw Boyd briefly but I haven't been paying super close attention.
