Per Twitter games 1 and 2 will start at 7:07 CT

That's surprising considering it'd be a 5:07 local start if LA wins.

Not that surprising. National needs override local ones at this point.

Hmm...Lester in Game 1? How would that affect the rotation in the WS if the NLCS goes at least 6? Selfishly I want Arrieta to start Game 5 as I have tickets to that one.

If the NLCS goes at least 6, and the Cubs win it, that would line up Lester/Arrieta again to go in Games 1 and 2 of the WS. If we win in less than that it'd probably be flipped.

Scheduled days are 17th, 18th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 24th and 25th. Lester in Game 5 would be regular rest. Arrieta goes in Game 2, he gets an extra day now and then after he pitches Saturday (if it goes to 6). Honestly, I'd rather Arrieta go Game 1 or save him to Game 3. If he goes game 1, he can go 5, and then be a real option for major innings in Game 7. If he goes 2, he goes Game 6 and is not available for 7. If he goes in Game 3, he still gets the same 2 starts as if he goes Game 2, but he can either be saved for 7 (if the Cubs are up 3-2) or he can still go in Game 6 on short rest if down 3-2. Plus, Game 3 is the most pivotal game IMO.

But this post is going to look very stupid and pointless when the Cubs win in 4.

On Saturday and Sunday though. The 9-5 crowd is not an issue.

Ahhhh yea.

So, it'd give Lester a lot of rest, but what do people think of going Arrieta-Hendricks-Lester-Hammel

I'm a little worried about having Hendricks and Hammel on back to back days, and what that does to the pen. Especially if it's Lester going on the 3rd consecutive day rather than Arrieta.

I was also thinking about splitting up Hendricks & Hammel... it's also would help to have them pitch in either away park than Wrigley. I just don't think there any way you don't put your completely rested aces 1 and 2.

Unpopular sentiment probably but I think Haren could possibly be a better option than Hammel at this point also.

I don't like Lester's 2nd start getting pushed to a game that is less likely to exist when Hendricks is the one starting the earlier game.

I thought about it, but Dodger Stadium is terrifying.
