Not an punch to the gut as you allude to, but I feel like there was a good chance that against the Dodgers lefties, we would have seen baez, russell, castro and rizzo in the infield with Bryant shifting to the outfield.

 

Also one fewer power bat off the in addition to limiting Maddon's ability to mix and match.

Addison out for the whole NLCS? God damn that sucks. I don't think it hurts the team *too* much (we're lucky to have a surplus of good middle infielders) but thats a bummer.

Teams set rosters for each series, and we haven't set ours for the NLCS, so we can make a change without an issue.
