  1. the sammy corked bat game in 2003, bleachers. two of us were underage and not drinking; the other two were drinking mai tais and being the worst. drunk friend 1 lightly smacked drunk 2 in jest; drunk 2 took it the wrong way and smacked drunk 1 so hard in the face that i can still hear the sound it made. the whole thing was very entertaining but also very embarrassing, so i went and sat somewhere else while they cooled off. the crowd was uneasy about sammy but everyone banded together to yell mean things at rocco baldelli. still my most memorable cubs game, and still the only incident of violence among that very tame group of friends. i'm pretty sure that bat broke the universe for a minute. games 3 and 4 of the 2015 NLDS were also fun, but i was stressed out the whole time, and i'm honestly okay with losing every playoff lottery for the rest of my life.
  2. Love this. That dude killed the solo. he plays aaron burr and is INCREDIBLE. hamilton and cubs together make my heart burst.

  6. really excited for that 2:30 start game. i finally googled "how to watch playoff baseball in london" since i can't jinx it anymore, and my situation is not as bleak as i had imagined. sad about addison though :(
  7. the good part of me is just happy that we won and that i got to see it live and managed to not die of fright. the worse part of me is equally excited that we put john lackey out to pasture like the gutless, sniveling dog he is. amazing night.
  8. i'm so glad i decided to just go with it and be a terrible employee this week. so fun.
  9. i have been mesmerized by schwarber's HR at least 10 times now
  10. omg i can't wait to see cardinal guts STREWN all over wrigley
  11. at least it didn't come down to the "whoever posted their team first" tiebreaker, because that would have HURT. i guess i can be sneaky's bridesmaid for one more year. thanks, SP!
  12. same. i’ve only been to one truly bad wedding, which was clearly a case of wanting to get married at a certain venue (beautiful winery/hotel in temecula) but not being able to afford it. on a monday, CASH BAR, a really sad piece of chicken, no music, over by 9. i was at in-n-out by 9:30. when half the guests fly across the country and pay $300 a night to stay the hotel, you need to give them some sort of party. no one cares about the scenery or the fancy centerpieces or how your pictures will turn out.
  13. i'm only going to be able to watch some of the WC game, but that's the least of my worries. i'll be out of the country (for the first time ever, incidentally) the second half of october, and will completely miss the NLCS and games 1-3 of the WS. it seemed like a good idea at the time?
  14. that was easier than I expected. my first sets of tickets were timed out because I got hung up on a call, but I was able to get another 2 sets of 2 terrace reserved tickets at around 10:45. my only standards were no officially limited view, no 500 level (irrational fear of death), and no SRO, so I just kept hitting "replace" when those options came up and it worked out.
