May sound like blasphemy, but I think I would have preferred Coghlan tonight in the chill over Ninja Soler.

yeah, I'd be fine with that.

Soler is going to dong so big you both feel ashamed after the game.

Saw on Twitter that the 2 Cubs with the best results against Harvey are Cogs and Miggy but can't find that info on my cell phone

iirc it was like 7 or 8 ABs each

montero was never going to play and i'll still take soler over coghlan

I had a feeling Schwarber was going yard both of the first 2 times he did, and I have a feeling he's doing so again.

My rationale has more to do with Harvey than Soler or Coghlan. He has a 4.15 FIP vs lefties and 2.02 FIP vs righties.

Fixed Soler shits all over Coghlan. In every type of weather condition. The time for Frankensteining things is in the past. Edited by Sammy Sofa

Bill Ripken says the Mets are his WS favorite because their young pitching will beat our young hitting and they "got past Kershaw and Greinke", ignoring the fact that each pitcher beat them once in the series, and Grienke only lost game 5 because of the Dodgers inept offense.

What a joke.

Go Cubs.

you need to not get offended when talking heads pick one of the two teams that can possibly win the series, weirdo

he has to come up with some stupid justification for his stupid prediction that means nothing. they all do.

there's a difference between picking them to win the series and picking them as WS favorites.

What? There's 4 teams left..why is it not weird to predict a team to make the World Series but it's weird to pick them to win the World Series?

Rob Drake is tonight's HP umpire. He's generous away to RH and inside to LH, and a bit stingy the opposite way. That's not ideal.

Odds of calling a strike compared to league average

vs. LHB (umpire/catcher's perspective)

Been so calm for 3 days. Now I'm nervous. I really need a couple 1st inning runs for my nerves just like the WC game. Wasn't nervous about the NLDS Game 1, because I had a pretty good feeling the Cubs would lose Game 1 and then win out.

I think we'll win game 1, but I know we'll win the series. No nerves here and you guys that have them can calm down. We've got this thing.

I want both but it's good to know that if we can't win today, we have Arrieta on the mound against sore armed Snydergaard with a chance to steal home field
