holy schnikies Fox must be pissed

well instead of one day game, they're now getting two... not a huuuuge difference, especially with the last one is "if necessary".

referencing weekdays games, but point taken.

is there a huge difference in viewership for saturday day games vs. saturday night games? and how meaningful is the difference?

probably not as big of a difference as weekday but there has to be some difference. Plus these guys go night/day/night/day/day/night/night. That's annoying if I care about watching either team.

Dear Mets Fans:

You are correct that we shouldn't be confident because of those seven games prior to the all-star break. You are correct that we should be using more recent results to underlay our predictions:

Since 8/1:

The Mets were a very respectable 36-22 down the stretch. The Cubs were an "amazing" 41-18. How about them "apples"?

Source

Not to mention the Cubs played 32 games against teams under .500 in that stretch and 27 against over .500 teams in that span. The Mets played 43 games against teams under .500, 13 games against teams over .500 and 2 games against a .500 team in that span. The last time the Mets won a series against a .500+ team besides Washington in the regular season was July 6-8 against SF.

Crazy thing I saw on ESPN, if the Mets win this series, we will have the first World Series between 2 expansion teams ever. Given how almost half of the team are expansion teams, seems kind of like a statistical oddity. Let's extend that streak.

Cubs.com, I was one of the fortunate people to win the drawing for the NLCS tickets and even luckier to end up with tickets.

weather forecast for NY looks like high 40s on Sat and Sunday. High of 52 and low of 37 on Sunday, for example. Stupid question, but could the cold weather affect our dongs?

Colder weather absolutely has an effect on how a ball carries, but our dongsmiths are not exactly know for their cheap HRs.

Are the dimensions still terrible for lefties at Citi Field? I thought I remember them moving the fences in a few years ago

If only the Cubs could wear cotton uniforms, which would breathe.....

Right-center was moved in this year:

Citi was the 17th best park for home runs this year. Wrigley was 3rd for home runs, despite only being 14th for runs.

I got 4 for Thursday game 5 in section 206!. Hopefully I just get my money back because the Cubs swept the Mets away the night before :flythew:

I've been convinced by their sound arguments, the Mets are the better team. Not sure why they are even going to play the games as the "better team" always wins.

Hey they get the Saturday night primetime slot if there's a game 7 in the ALCS!

Does game six move to prime time if there is no game 7 of the ALCS?

Yes, it would be at 8 ET.

Hopefully the ALCS ends early if the Cubs haven't finished off the Mets by then.

The Mets beat up on the Dodgers terrible bullpen and took advantage of the piss poor managing of Mattingly. They won't be able to do that against the Cubs. Cubs will sweep.
