It's crazy that we're the 30th best defensive team per kenpom

Well losing Embiid makes you look a lot more human on defense. Last three games you have given up over 90 twice.

 

so sad that they're down to only five McDonald AAs!

he's beat kansas twice in the last 3 years (i'll throw out his first year since he inherited a mess). and he's a mclemore banked 3 and a miscarriage of justice from 4 wins in 3 seasons. I can live with that. you think there's another team in the conference that's competed better against kansas the last 3 seasons?

Didn't see a thread for HS basketball, so I'll post here... Did anyone watch the 1a ihsa final? Not really fair for Heyworth to have to okay Mooseheart. 3 or 4 guys taller than 6'6", and can throw it down.

I watched a bit of it. My guess is Mooseheart is some sort of religious school that can recruit players. And that is not fair and the IHSA needs to address this at some point.

 

edit: Just looked it up. Mooseheart looks to be a small town in the south suburbs. I stand corrected. Still not sure recruiting is not going on though.

The three big dudes are kids who came over from somewhere in Africa and happened to end up there. I'm not sure if it was completely on the up and up, but a similar thing happened to me when I was in high school with the entire Yugoslavian U-18 national team ending up in northern Illinois at various schools.

Mooseheart is a school for children and teens in need located out west near Aurora/Batavia. The school provides a home/education for children whose parents are unable to take care of them.
