DePaul women, 7 seed, beat #2 Duke on Duke's home court to move on to the Sweet Sixteen. Unfortunately that probably extends the apparent lifetime contract of the awful female AD.

IU fans are the worst. Large percentage of them spent the whole year bitching about Hollowell. Fast forward to today, Hollowell announces he is transferring and they are freaking out.

Etherington knew he wasn't going to play. He is graduating and wants to move on to play two years somewhere, possibly at Indiana St with his brother. Makes sense. Crean was over the top in praise for him from the athletic department release. He was not so gushing in his comments about Hollowell.

You mean it's not the end of the world?

These people are nuts.

So after Illinois got knocked out, the 2 teams I was cheering for in the NIT were Minnesota and SMU. They will now play each other in the "we were the most screwed bubble team" game.

Marquette hires Steve Wojo

Don't think I'd be pleased with that if I were a Marquette fan.

If Wojo does as good of a job as Chris Collins has, they'll make the tournament easily with the talent they have on their roster. But, when the Shaka Smart rumors turn into Wojo, they probably feel a bit let down right now.

I'd bar my dad from coming to any more games if I were Pitino's kid.

I was embarrassed for him.

I haven't seen Richard Pitino enough to recognize his face yet, so I kept seeing shots of Rick during the end of the game and thought 'wow Richard really looks a lot like his dad'

I was curious how it was within the realm of fairness/good sportsmanship to have a legendary coaching father basically on the Minnesota bench during that game

God I can't stand Rick Pitino. Could you not just let your son have his day? No, he has to make sure he gets as much face time as possible during his son's biggest coaching moment to date. What a douche.

I loved it in the 90's when Nolan used to get under his skin while he was at Kentucky. No love lost between those two.

To be fair, a pretty good coach was on the other bench too.

I just thought it was a dick move for Rick Pitino to be literally shouting instructions to Minnesota players while his son just stood there like a sucker.

and it's unfair. completely, utterly unfair to the other team.
