It was announced. Now it's being confirmed by various Twin Cities media outlets that it will be at TCF.

First outdoor game in 30 years with what could be winter weather. Monday Night Football vs. the Bears. Throwback uniforms. Big 50th anniversary celebration.

As of right now the forecast does not call for snow, but that could change in 6 days. Ideally I'd just like it to be cold as hell, but no snow.

 

As for Favre, I just don't see how he'll be able to play on that shoulder with temps down next to zero. I know it's Brett Favre and he plays through just about anything, but with the streak already over I don't see it happening.

 

Part of me hope he plays though because I don't think he'll be effective. On the other hand him playing would get the crowd more involved for sure. If the Bears face Webb, it will be the 3rd third-string QB the Bears will have faced in the last 5 games. Haha.

This lockout fits perfectly into his plans. He can avoid all mini-camps, OTA's and half of training camp without it being a big deal. He's not going to want to go out like this and will show up somewhere right before the season.

The field at TCF Bank Stadium is frozen and blanketed by 5-foot snowdrifts. The concession stands weren't built to withstand temperatures below 30 degrees. There are no beer taps.

 

That is just awful awful awful*.
