I admit maybe I'm giving Berry too much credit here, but I think that's why you send Kelly.  Maybe you get lucky and score, and if you don't, you have PCA with runway in front of him.

Love the steal call. It's the exact type of call winning teams make. Play to win and trust your best players. Kudos to Craig for making that call, if it was him. Wouldnt surprise me if Pete just said horsefeathers it, Im going.

PCA hits what would’ve been the game winning hit if Kelly had average speed, gets thrown out, Pete says eff it I’ll do it myself, steals third and an errant throw brings him home. He’s a grinder. He also hit 2 home runs and a double yesterday.
