I think there will be plenty of Ohtani votes. I don't agree with it, but I can see it in a way. 85 innings at 2.9 is exceeding good. It's like, would you trade an all world defensive centerfielder with no bat for Adrian Morejon? You'd consider it right? And some people would do it in a heartbeat. But PCA just ran away with the offensive battle in the last couple months, more than enough to offset it.

I was a little annoyed yesterday that he didn’t try to steal in the 1st inning yesterday after he walked. Especially since Seiya ended up hitting into a DP on the third pitch anyway.

For second place?  Absolutely.  But Pete's run away and hidden by such a huge margin at this point that there's no excuse for anyone not to give him a first place vote.  Especially since Otahni has been largely absent the second half of the season, even on offense.

PCA has more fWAR this year than either Don Kessinger, Bill Buckner or Shawon Dunston had in their entire Cubs careers.
