  1. Up to .500 with a 3/4 day.
  2. Really. NEVER would have guessed that. I stand corrected.
  3. I'm stunned - but thankful - that Bregman beat that out.
  4. Somebody post the GIF of Vargas changing gears between home and 1B.
  5. Came looking for some pennance. Saw it was 4 nothing earlier decided it was the Dodgers and they were done. Checked my phone as I was going to bed and saw it was 6-4. Checked the date a few times and tapped the side of my head a few more but apparently they're going for 11 in a row tomorrow. Woo hoo!!
  6. You mean, like Koufax and Drysdale? 'Cause the rest of the guys aren't too shabby.
  7. You either die a hero or live to become the villain. Inescapable.
  8. I've never seen anyone as good as Javy at getting reads on balls.
  9. Was that 13 combined pitches in the 1st inning. Is that some kind of record? LOL.
  10. You don't care about the more runs in this situation. You only care about the runner on third. The metrics include the additional plate appearances that likely don't materialize in a walk off situation. What are the chances of hitting into a double paly without a runner on 1B (earlier game occurrence not withstanding) and what are the chances with? That's not anecdotal. Yes the Mets are likely screwed either way but you have to a least give the team a possibility to get out of it AND if walking the player who is the both the best hitter and most likely to put the ball in play helps you do that then that's even better.
  11. That still likely scores a run. That's why its pretty questionable pitching to him, especially with PCA on 3rd, he's going to put the ball in play 90%ish of the time.
  12. Then you walk Busch if you are worried about splits. Even when they are both going well Hoerner is much more likely to put the ball in play. On top of that Busch has been ass all season.
  13. My mind immediately follows that up with a caught stealing at third.
  14. C'mon Raisin, read the room. LOL.
  15. It didn't age well because he has 3 home runs?? I mean...Ryan Theriot once hit 2 Hrs in the same game. The worst current take I've seen - and I'm not on here as often many others - was Cam Smith now being one of the best RFs in the NL, AND, I've been critical of that trade.
  16. I'm trying to temper my burgeoning giddiness.
