  1. Well at least PCA will get another AB I guess.
  2. It looked early on like he'd turned into Ryne Sandberg but now it's looking more and more like he's morphed into Darwin Barney.
  3. I think Craig Biggio got thrown out at 2nd on his 3K hit. MLB used to show the highlight like 3 times a commercial break. It was extra embarrassing because he had no business trying for 2nd. After a few months MLB edited the clip so you didn't see the end of the play.
  4. Trey Mancini sighting; 3 hits in his first MLB action in a few years.
  5. Seiya ending up on his ass in OF a lot this year. Nice grab.
  6. I know, I was thinking that were going to have to bench Dansby after the inevitable SO.
  7. Couldn't follow the game but was able to check the score a couple times. Checked my phone when I got home and it was 3-6 in the 9th and I was thinking this might be the loss that breaks some people. I then refreshed and saw it was 5-6...oh. headed over MLB to see Alcantara heading home blinded by his batting helmet....woohoo!
  8. Making sculptures of Taylor out of butter is not an artform that can be rushed.
  9. I think it is harder to find offense than defense. Most offensive players flame out because they can't hit. How many good offensive players don't make it because they can't field? Has there been one? There's a bit of buffer because of the DH but if you can hit you'll find a place to play. I think there are many good defensive players that never make the majors because they can't hit. I don't thinks its a case of offense/defense being created equal or not. It's harder to find offense.
  10. Service time is an exact calculation based on time spent on an active roster. In 3 of his seasons he appeared in 2 games - he does not have 12 years official service time. He has referred to this fact several times on air. However feel free to believe he has 12 years.
  11. JD never got to 10 Years service time - which is significant for pension calculation - probably why he's announcing. I'm sure Boog has asked him at least 3 times about it. "You don't have 10 years service time???" He's a little salty on the subject.
