Crazy to think that 16 of the Bears last 17 games were either Bears wins or Bears losses that happened on the last play of the game. What a season.

And the Ravens game could have come down to the last play had the Bears not blown the goaline situation near the end.

One thing I'm very confident about is that another year in Ben's system with virtually the exact same offensive personnel will lead to a much more efficient, consistent offense. The rest of the league should be on notice.

I like that Caleb was already talking about improving his footwork and accuracy in the post game.  Don't know about any off season restrictions, it not college, I suspect there isn't anything to keep Ben, Caleb, the receivers getting together for sessions/walk troughs, etc.

Did some searching, apparently, there's phases to formal team led off season work outs and limitations on coaches involvement.  However, there's no restrictions on player led work outs.

He has the raw talent and IMO he's showed he has the mental component.  You can't teach raw talent and the mental side (IMO) is difficult to teach.  Footwork and accuracy seem very fixable.  We're in a good spot with Caleb

I have made the comparison here before, but Josh Allen is proof that footwork and accuracy can be fixed. Those were two big knocks on him coming out of college and he worked extensively to fix them. Caleb is already ahead of where Allen was in year two in terms of poise. He's got "it" and he's only going to get better.

The most important aspect, it's there, Mitch and Justin never had this part and never will.  The mechanical part will come with more reps, best part is the Bears don't need Caleb to complete 70% + of his passes.  While 70%+ would be great, 64-66% will make them nearly unstoppable, like the Rams this season.

I am in no way worried about Caleb

I am worried about our lack of D. Didnt Hendrickson play under Allen in NO?

The D will improve with health and an infusion of talent, I think, after financials to free up cap space and re-signings, one of Mack, Reddick or Joey Bosa on a one-year.  Plus the draft and, health, would be enough to get to an average defense.

they were 13th last year (passing) with nearly this same group. I like Mack the most out of that list, Mack/Sweat/Booker could produce well at the DE position. But more than anything, I feel like they dont have a  #1 DE, Sweat is more a #2 in production. Thats why Trey sounds so much better to me. I get not wanting to lock into a long term big contract with a 31-year-old DE, but if you get Mack, you better draft one too in the first 2 rounds. Mack is really only a situational rusher at this point in his career

Remember when one of the knocks on Caleb was that he couldn't hit the deep ball?  Nobody says that anymore.  He's already made great strides in the accuracy department.  Might not show up in the cmp% but there are throws he just wasn't making before, and now he hits them.

I know everyone is excited about the future, as am I, but we had so many opportunities to win last night and I can't get past that right now. However, not sure if we would have had a chance at Seattle.

how horsefeathers old is Khalil Mack.

I need some young horsefeathers athletic specimens who run 4.5s, has multiple moves AND can bull-rush a tackle into the horsefeathers ground. I don't want old scrap heap guys. We have too many of them already.

Yeah I woke up pretty bitter. Johnson let us down IMO.

So many things.  Goes right back to the first drive.  How does Rome not haul that TD pass in?  How many drops can a team have?  Bears were testing the limit all damn game.

Think I’ve watched the TD throw to kmet about 250 times today. Tirico’s call of the play makes it even better and Collinsworth’s shocked laugh is the icing on the cake.

You held the Rams to 17 points through 60 minutes. That should have been enough to be playing next weekend.

Looking at Stafford' numbers this season, it's not all that far fetched to say Caleb.  With a similar completion percentage, would come close to replicating such numbers.   My goodness, wouldn't that make all haters and Packers' fans heads explode?

In addition they stopped them one the first drive in OT. Of all the "if only" things in this game the defense is at the bottom of the list.

Great season, only better things to come from this coach and team. Push Poles out of the room and let coach cook.

Stafford ranked 19th in completion% by the way and was league average almost on the dot. Josh Allen ranked 24th last year and was below league average.

He can get by with 63-64% if he misses a couple layups for every circus throw.

Rams didn’t have any drops, Bears dropped between 3-5 passes depending on the source.

The "Bear weather" benefitted the Rams.  I don't want to hear that crap ever again.  Everyone plays in the same weather in a game like that.

That seems extremely generous on our behalf. Feels like Rome and Colston had at least 3 apiece.

Throwing 42 times and constructing a roster built around scoring points makes “Bear weather” less of an advantage.
