I understand its the Dodgers and they are 9-1 so far this post season. Also, have rather fresh SP.  I just dont get why they are so heavily favored.  Except for SP, Toronto is just as good or better in most other areas.  I really wouldnt be completely surprised if Toronto wins or even wins in 5 or 6.

I think the week off is not going to help them. I actually think the smart money is Toronto in 6

There have been 5 WS where one team Swept the LCS and the other went 7. The team that went 7 in the LCS is 5-0

Just imagine if Toronto beat Yamamoto tomorrow.

That would be super great.  The Dodgers lost with Snell, then lose again with Yamamoto.  I think the Game 1 was a pretty big win for the Jays.  I'll be happy just to see the Dodgers lose against any team.

Well, I hate the Dodgers more than any other team, so I don't like Yamamoto, just because of the team.  I have to admit he's a real deal.  He wasn't very good in the first few innings, but he allowed only one run.  After that, he was pretty much perfect.

It definitely feels like if we had signed Ohtani or Yamamoto we would have won another title. It's really unfair that their whole courting was a dog and pony show. The Dodgers and their fans were gifted the most impactful FA period of all time pretty much.

They weren’t gifted anything. There is not a chance in hell the Cubs were in pissing distance of either player for a variety of reasons. The Ricketts are content with playing third fiddle and counting their money.

Two things can be true. Your Ricketts statement is true. They won’t spend that money. But it is also true those two players were at all times going to the Dodgers. Ohtani agreeing to that large deferral allowed the Dodgers to add whatever they wanted. He was ALWAYS only going to the Dodgers. Same with Yamamoto. Unless the Dodgers didn’t want him, that was where he was going.

They have to be willing to pay the money first. So two things can be true but only one of them were

Not worth discussing this. Just going to agree to disagree.

And Sasaki, I'm convinced the whole process of him being interested in the Cubs and other teams was a charade.  I honestly don't know why the Cubs wasted their time with him.

I see the world’s biggest supporter man child is in the house. Wear some different clothes Marlin Man because saying Marlin Man is absolutely ridiculous at this point.

Have we ever seen anyone as good as Ohtani?

Very unlikely.

He has a batters eye like he’s hitting a beach ball and when you can a make regular calls that he will do damage during an AB, you know he’s a special baseball player. He makes hitting against the best pitchers on earth look it’s the easiest thing in the world to do. It’s nuts.

He should be the #1 story in sports pretty much multiple times a week. Baseball fans in the 70s or whatever couldn't have possibly imagined someone being able to be elite at this many things
