Key design flaw of this game are the raised bases. I get why you need them for several reasons, but god damn they're dangerous in so many ways

If it’s the ACL, we won’t see him until 2027. Could affect his entire Cubs career as the Cubs will have to figure out a longer term starting catching option

Hate to say it, but his career with the Cubs is probably done. That looked like his knee exploded and the way he reacted wasnt good. Im not expecting him back at all next year now. Feel awful for the kid but catcher is a position we will need to address again next season now.

Yeah they should be a centimetre thick rather than 3 inches, unbelievably dangerous

Sprained ankle is often more painful than any of the other outcomes, let's hope it's not so bad

Definitely doesn’t look like knee since he was sitting normal on the cart. Hopefully, at worst, some sort of high ankle sprain that hurts more initially, like you said

So now the question is , who comes up to take his roster spot ? McGuire will be the backup the rest of the year .  Who comes up ?  Alcantara , Long , Cassie ?

Nicki Lopez is back in Iowa 🤷‍♂️

Id like to see Long get a shot but they could use another OFer so maybe Alcantara

I hate to even speculate this soon but with Berti gone, will we see Mo Balla or Cassie up?

Yeah , the move will be interesting .

I really hope that Amaya is just in pain and it isn’t a season or career ending injury. He has worked so hard to get to this level. But also, I hope his injury is the spark that wakes this team up and they go apeshit from here on out.

Brutal, man. I feel for that guy so much. He has had injury after injury and he keeps coming back. He looked devastated.

I hope a combination of fhe replay making it look worse and some initial shock from Amaya has made what is a bad ankle sprain look worse in the moment.

But that reminds me so much of Alexander Canario's injury and that threw a massive wrench in his development and career.

I would think that Mo or Alcantara would be the guy since they are both on the 40 man.

Lopez is not needed with Castro on the roster . I am tempted to bring Cassie up tbh . Keep him in the lineup most days againts righties while giving the other OFS days off .

Maybe he has a couple of hot weeks in him before the league adjust .

Is it Caissie or Ballesteros now?

Hopefully Ballesteros. Emergency catcher and im much more confident he will hit

And I called them out for calling on him to bunt, now I wish to horsefeathers they had

I usually hate small ball, but the way the offense has been going it didn't bother me
