Woodruff pulled after 4 innings and only 65 pitches. Anyone know why?

No injury mentioned, probably just saving bullets. It was 6-0 at the time.

Keeping him rested for game 1 of the NLDS at this point.

Seems strange to pull a starter after 4 innings. Guess we will see. I would think he would want to go 5 and get a win.

You would think, but this is the team of sunshine and rainbows and the power of friendship. They don't care about pitcher wins.

People still  watching what the brewers are doing ? 😂

Actually I only cared because I am playing a team in fantasy baseball who has him pitching this week. So I checked out how he was doing. The guy I am playing this week is also probably a team I will play in the playoffs. So I am interested in Woodruff. As for any Cubs benefit, I agree that it doesn’t matter.
Plus. I have Horton, who right now is scheduled to pitch against Woodruff in Monday.

That's funny asf. Cubs got to mount the repost tonight, it's getting near do or die for the division

I am glad to see Amaya back in the lineup, but does it strike anyone else that Amaya (as far as we know) has never caught Horton before? Cade is on a heater and they're changing up his catcher. Idk how much stock to bother putting into that.

I don't know either, but none of that matters if the Cubs score 0 runs, so might as well hope Amaya can give the offense a boost.

Since we last played the Brewers they have gone 37-9. SMDH.

Didn't we play them 2 weeks ago?

Keller with meatball after meatball. Straight up batting practice.

Are you from the future?

Cubs are 29th in runs scored the last 30 days (since about the ASB).

PCA is hitting .081 in August, .213 OPS.  C'mon MVPete!  Tucker, Busch, PCA all under .500 OPS in Aug.

Anyone rationalize why Counsell keeps having Michael Busch lead off versus righthanded pitching? Nothing compelling about the .188 average and .263 OBP in the 1 spot.
