The Cubs really need to figure out a way to keep McGuire on the roster until the September expansion.  He is a solid backup and really good insurance for another catcher injury down the stretch.  Can they afford to DFA Berti to keep McGuire?

Risky for Baltimore to give Shaw anything to hit in that situation with the Cubs top of the order coming up that can’t hit air.
