Let hope this ends up being that pivotal game that gets the Cubs rolling and the Brewers skidding...

You're up Jed, go get a couple difference makers now.

Great game today....Imanaga didn't set the world on fire but it was a solid enough effort IMO. Keller with 2 strong innings and plenty of offense. As I said last night, pressure was ON to win this game. Might be biggest win of the year thus far: leave town only down 1 at this point. I'll take it.

The pathetic, gutless Cubs somehow, miraculously improve their season record against the clearly superior, transcendent Brewers to 3-3, with the remaining 5 games of the season series coming at home.

Way to kick their horsefeathers asses and get some RD space back

Can't wait for tomorrows article pumping up the Brewers superiority.

But honestly, what a dumb, annoying series. I clear out my night Monday and Tuesday to watch some intense, playoff atmosphere baseball and get hit with Ryno and the Andrew Vaughn show, and then today I'm running around all afternoon at work and am limited to checking the box score every 10 minutes and firing off snarky comments here while they dominate.

I wonder if the Brewers are starting to get a little concerned about Peralta.  That's 3 consecutive starts where he hasn't been able to locate and hasn't gotten past the 5th inning.

Including 3-3 in Milwaukee.  But, I mean, come on, didn't you know Andrew Vaughn is the greatest trade acquisition ever?  7 hits, 10 K's for those transcendent Brewers today.

Funny you post that....as I'm re-watching the game on MLB (missed it earlier) it strikes me that they could absolutely deal him. They have a deep rotation and he's been very solid for a long time but you can't tell me someone like the Yankees or Dodgers wouldn't overpay for him and it would be very Brewer-like to scoop up a couple stud prospects for a guy who COULD be on the down slope.

I'm really thrilled with PCA's game today. He took some pitches and wasn't selling out for power and it showed. That single on the curve in the zone was really beautiful. And he did it without the adrenaline rush of having to make a great place in CF. His BA is.comfortably in the 270s now and if he has games like this occasionally he's going to keep his value up and stay in the 4 spot even when not hitting for exceptional power

I too choose to wind up frustrated by the half inning in which they scored 3 runs to to extend their lead to 5. It increases my enjoyment of the game.

After 700+ hours of watching Cubs baseball every year, whatever helps. Heck, this is me if I’ve been watching a game for 3 hours and the closer blows a save

The guy is improving by leaps and bounds from game to game. His approach and execution are excellent and the results are showing that. The fact CC hits him cleanup at this point of his development is so damn impressive.

Love how Shota bounced back and the Cubs got to Peralta.  Hanging 5 ER’s on him was cathartic

I see what you did there….

Cubs, good job doing the bare minimum and averting disaster. I expect you to do better in that 5 game series later this year.

good to see some of our big boppers have some good games. Let it continue.
