27-19 is fun. Next opponent that the Cubs play over .500 is in 3 weeks, that’s fun. PCA is fun. What’s not fun is how much better the record could have been if they didn’t have to play fake regular season in Japan.

I honestly would have let Ballesteros face the lefty, for the most part, there's no utility in giving that at-bat to Turner.

Pen has covered 7 innings without allowing a run. I think someone posted something about how nice it would be to feel comfortable with a 3 run lead. TBF, I don’t think many fan bases are ever comfortable with their pens, no matter how good they are. I am sure a few are, but not many. Cubs pen is bad, but they have been showing signs of not totally sucking. Of course, then they give up a big inning and it starts all over again.

I would have put Turner in. But it is just one of many decisions a manager has to make. 🤷

Japan, Korea, it’s bad when there’s guys playing in Africa who you could argue would be a better option at third base then anyone on the Cubs ML roster.

Yes - we had to endure some pain to get here but I really think we're getting to a place where roles are getting clearly defined and we have pretty good pitchers we can put in the best positions to win for most situations and also who we can't pitch in certain situations.
