27 games in May with a much easier schedule opponents wise, be nice if they can win 18 again like they did in April.

Hopefully we'll see a return of Shaw soon and he can put up decent numbers and take control of 3B the rest of year

Feels like it’s a pattern with the Cubs playing down to the level of opponents.  I can accept the “that’s baseball“ explanation if it’s happening occasionally.

So get to this guy and win the damn game.  He’s good but so are we.

Man what could have been with Bregman... and Flaherty... and Scott.

Edit: Just looked at Scott's numbers. Came into the season with a career walk rate of 12, it was a major concern of ours... and he has not walked a batter in 15 innings this year with LA. That's crazy. K's are down and he has given up a ton of hard contact, however,

Im not a Boog fan, so I'm good with him being gone. I like Cohen

Really? I’m the exact opposite. Something about Cohen is driving me nuts 🤣

6th different offering at 3b now. Shaw, Turner, Berti, Workman, Brujan and Lopez.

Cool!

It’s like we’re back in the pre-Aramis days again.

Where has Boog been?

It seems like Boog and JD don’t travel a lot and this series, it’s Boog’s turn not to travel.

Next 9 are gonna be tough though with MIL/SF/NYM having a combined winning percentage of .602 which is on average harder than the first 27 games where we didn't play a team under .500

Cool!

Always fun when a perceived hole that everyone wanted the GM to fill in the offseason is exposed so frequently so soon into the season.

I know I shouldn't be mad because he hit it hard, but it always irks me when a guy swings at the first pitch after a 4-pitch walk, especially against a good pitcher. At least give it one shot to see if he's losing his control.

The first pitch DP pisses me off however, Skenes is up to 54 pitches, which is good, driving up the pitch count will make his exit that much sooner.

They said on the SNB broadcast that the Cubs came into the game with just 8 double plays all season.  They’ve had 6 double plays in the 4 games since.
