If he says yes , i would like to see the Cubs double down with Robertson as well . With that said i am not sure they can fit him in :

Pressly , Hodge , Morgan , Merryweather , Pearson , Miller / Thielbar  / Rea

I dont think they are cutting Merryweather , so the only way i could see Robertson is if Assad and Brown start in AAA , and they use a piggy of Rea / Pearson for the 5th spot .

If he wants to be a closer he come. If he’s doesn’t want to leave Texas he’ll stay.

I’m gonna guess they will try to find some enticement. Remember the Fred McGriff saga?

I am sure he will try to use the NTC as leverage for something more. Not sure he will get it though. The sweetener should be he gets to close. If he does well he makes more money next year than he does if he stays in Houston.

If he wants another year , i wouldnt do it . 36 and in decline , no thanks

If the trade doesn’t cost you any assets, and it shouldn’t, I might still do it. Maybe a second year guaranteed if he reaches some goals? Maybe Astros kick in some money if there has to be a second year added. I think there are scenarios where I would be ok with a second year.

Fun fact I just found.  Pressly projects slightly better than any Brewers reliever.

They will still have a better bullpen than us on paper, but between our improvements and their losses it's not looking like the major advantage it has been the past 8 years

The Brewers could sign the entire Savannah Bananas roster and still find a way to win the NL Central.

Surprised we've gotten no wind on the return

I would guess it's essentially nominal. Maybe Keegan Thompson or Alexander Canario max.

Is it bad that I’d rather have Hodge as closer and just pick up guys like Robertson?

I'd rather have Hodge as closer with Pressly as setup man, but that probably won't happen.  I'm ok with it being the other way around.
