I saw this headline, and I refuse to read the details of why that's an advantage. I like imagining what it could be.

There are some articles best left unread.

They measure the suits to your body so that you can't artificially create extra lift on the jump.

If some part of your body was larger than normal the day of suit measurement then you'd get a suit advantage and create extra lift.

Pretty entertaining end to their match today too. They were up 7-5, seemed like they made a mistake that allowed Italy to get 3. But then Italy messed up and the US got 2 in the final end to win 9-8. They face Sweden in the final tomorrow.

I don’t know why, but I enjoy the winter games much more than the summer games outside of figure skating.

I can completely respect that even though I'm 100% the opposite.

I tried to figure out why that was the case and I think this is why

The Summer Olympics have so many either A) team sports or B) sports where lots of competitors compete together at the same time (swimming/track for example).  I like that competitive aspect.

My favorite events in the Winter Olympics are short track speed skating and curling, which follow that same formula.  Many of the other events involve person after person racing against a clock/set score/judges, which can still be fun but just aren't as captivating for me.

Saw somewhere, maybe, here, one posted they are fan of curling because it's one of few Winter Olympic events that isn't a disguised attempt to commit suicide.  Luge, skeleton, I can see the point.

I’ve turned on the games nearly every night and am bored within 15 minutes

My wife describes the winter Olympics as "a bunch of random horsefeathers they put together and called it a sport".

I mean, a lot of it really doesn't make sense. In one sport like snowboard halfpipe, you get three chances to put up one good score. They toss the other attempts in the trash like they never happened. Meanwhile, that kid in the free skate last night doesn't get a do over.

I'm still watching the prime time NBC broadcasts, but half the time, social media has already told me who got a medal. Of course, if I say something to my wife, now she's pissed that I didn't just sit there with my mouth shut. LOL. I managed to keep it quiet for last night's tank on skates.
