Really good play by Morel, and Amaya showing off a strong throwing arm. He didn’t have that last year. That’s nice to see. Looks like he’s fully recovered from that arm injury.

This team is just unreal right now.  I know there will be rough patches and all that but this team is super fun when they're on their game.

These guys are good, and the lineup really compliments each other. Hasn’t been much swing and miss, plenty of hitters in there taking bigger swings, lots of contact, and a willingness to work the count and take a walk. Even our outs tend to be productive outs with men on base.

Things couldn’t be much better on offense right now,

The offense is rentless right now. It won't stay that way every day, but right now it just feels like they're chewing up arms. Every hitter has a +approach but capable of punishing the mistakes so it's not just "patience for patience" sake.

Idk if I'm more excited to watch the lineup or the pitching these days.  Just a well built, deep team with a great manager

I want this team to get some early season swagger and ride it. Felt like they had a long stretch last year where they expected to lose every game.

Who isn't there tonight?

They are both there, I have no idea what that post is about. They've been going on all road trips since late in the 21 season

What do the Cubs do when Taillon gets back?  6 man rotation?  Doesn't make sense to remove Assad or Wicks with how good they both have looked so far

They’re missing another spot so neither of those guys should be bumped

Sutcliffe did fill in for most West Coast games last season.  But I always assumed that was more about JD's travel/schedule  demands and not the Cubs unwillingness to send their full broadcast team on the road.

On a related note, I was watching a Giants broadcast last week and they had their primary play by play guy live in the booth and the color commentator was remote.  I think it was likely health-related, but I thought that made for an interesting broadcast dynamic.  I can't go 10 seconds without accidentally talking over someone on a conference call.

At least 1 more rehab start, and I wouldn't be surprised if it is more than that.  There's no reason to rush him back right now.
