I f Eberflus is returning, you’re better off keeping the whole band together than trying to string it together piecemeal

Why not get Greg Roman instead of Getsy?

Justin has had games close to this before. The issue is consistency game-to-game and that’s what separates average QBs from great ones.

Nah, average QBs don’t do what Fields does at his best. Fields’ consistency issues are different than average QBs.

We're talking about a guy with one 300-yard passing game in his career.  His best isn't *that* good.

Piecemeal comes in big packages: MHJ

I don’t really care. Keeping Eberflus and drafting a QB is asking for failure. Replace Getsy or not, it doesn’t matter. Eberflus is the head coach and that’s a problem.

They can’t run like Fields, but they can throw for over 200 yards and score points. The overall production is the same.

It just me or does Bijan Robinson seem to go down really easily? He's definitely fast, but he seems to go down on first contact a lot.

fields has never gotten a 50/50 type call for roughing

edit: also giving up even one yard at the edge of santos' range/in the weather by sliding was sub obtimal

He has never gotten a 99/1 type call for roughing.

Damn. Aside from two plays, this team is playing like a playoff team. You gotta feel good about that.

I feel so bad for Fields. He's playing well, but I don't think anything he can do can change the decision coming. Still, it's nice to see him balling out.

Defense is playing insanely well aside from Eddie Jackson being unable to get off a block for 30 yards.

Go Bears.

On the bright side, even if the decision has already been made, he is showing just enough to improve his possible trade return.  What's the best case scenario for him - a 2nd rounder? Or is that too high?

This is the Bears game script this year.  Jump out to a lead, then hold on for dear life.

Lets see if they can close it.

Don't dare Eberflus. He'll figure out a way to lose.

Never tell me the odds.

He’s hit 55 before, but not in this crap

Right...Koo was short from 50 on this side of the field earlier.

Draft QB, keep Fields around.  At least one team is bound to find themselves in dire need of a QB next season.

Except for the Washington game and arguably the second Lions game, where they buried them and didn't give them a chance to come back.

I don’t feel bad for Fields if he’s traded. He’s had plenty of time to become a better processor and quick decision maker, but it just hasn’t happened. Not saying it can’t, but 3 years is enough time for one organization to wait.

I hate this idea more than anything. Trade Fields if you’re drafting a QB #1.
