I've watched that Fields' s int several times now and that throw is perfect if Kmet doesn't stop his route.

So, what your saying is that was an anticipation throw by Fields?  I thought that wasn't possible.

Apparently Kmet said that Fields threw it where he was supposed to be and that Fields should have thrown it where he was?

Is Kmet aware that there is processing and throwing time and ball in the air time that when he decides to suddenly pull up, there's nothing Fields can do about it?

Just caught up on the game. Lull.

Fields did everything we've ever asked of him against a historically bad defense. I have no idea what to make of that, tbh.  The interception looked like it was tipped at the line to me.  He still has a fumbling problem, though.

I actually kinda like the call to go for it on 4th and 1.

Wait a minute, isn't Fields throwing the ball to right spot what's known in the parlance of the NFL as a play?  Does Kmet know such things?

Yes, it’s a dilemma. They can’t even lose right. Fields lives as a viable QB for one more week.

I'm not a footballologist, but my understanding is that most modern offenses will have players cut off routes at different points depending on what the defense is doing. I find either Kmet or Fields being wrong about where the ball should go to be plausible.  Plus it looked tipped at the line to me.

I hate to say it, I was ok with the 4th and 1 call too. I don’t know about the playcall, I was half watching while getting ready to coach a tball game but thought the potential upside of getting the first far outweighed the risk.

Bears decided to get conservative after going up 28-7 cost them the game.  Don't have a problem with them going for it on 4th and 1 with this horsefeathers defense. Sucks because this was by far Fields best game as a pro.

Trade him to the Jets for a 4th
