All indications are they figured out the right grass and care last year. Though I think we were unseasonably warm late into the season (and they used a warm season grass).  And I think I saw Bhatkari said it was the best he's ever played week 1.

Apparently it was Flus who pushed for the warm season grass. So if he flames out, he'll at least still have left his legacy lol

They have two of the best grounds superintendents in MLB working in Chicago. You’d think they’d bother asking.

"I'm told it was not criminal activity, but it was inappropriate, and the Bears' HR department was involved in the decision for Alan Williams to step aside."- Adam Schefter

If Pat McAfee was wrong with his source of an FBI raid (and then he went on to speculate about all matter of things it could be), he's gonna get sued by Williams if there really was no criminal activity.

Inappropriate but not criminal.. Pretty vague, but I guess we can guess.

Johnny Depp notwithstanding, it's usually not worth it to sue for this kind of thing.  Williams would have to prove that McAfee intentionally lied or that he intentionally didn't check if it was true.   Those are hard to prove.

I mean, I guess, but it's a total different type of wear and tear, during ideal growing conditions.  As opposed to lots of wear and tear into a terrible growing season.

Jordan Love when not playing the Bears appears to be pretty mid or worse

With Rogers injury Green Bay still has their first round pick.

So it just means they will end up with Nix, Penix, Ewers etc.

The Packers were never giving up their 2024 first round pick in the Rodgers trade.

ETA: the impact of the Rodgers industry was that instead of getting the Jets’ 2024 1st, they get a 2024 2nd.

Amazing what the slightest bit of pressure can do (or lack thereof)

You mean the *checks notes* zero sacks on Love in week 1 wasn't enough pressure?

Per Espn:

"...and a conditional 2024 second-round pick that becomes a first if Rodgers plays 65% of the plays this season."

Right. That’s what the Packers receive from the Jets. They would’ve gotten a first, now they get a 2nd due to the injury. The Packers’ own 2024 first was never part of the deal.

Yeah ... I'm not sure how I got that mixed up.

Passing on CJ Stroud is looking really bad so far.

906 passing yards 4TD 0INT through 3 games.

This feels like the money game in a college schedule where the No. 1 team in the nation schedules pays some FCS scrub team enough to run theier athletic department for three months in exchange for taking a 72-0 beating.
