I've heard Deion say he won't coach in the NFL because he doesn't think he can motivate guys who have already been paid.

Could be an issue in college now too but I think he stays in college for now.

I feel like a lot of guys will say that right up until they are offered an NFL HC position

I'm probably just overreacting, similar to how mahomes felt cutler-y to me in the draft, but I pull up Caleb Williams scouting profile and I see tons of praise for athletics, scrambling and throw quality but needs to work on holding the ball too long and reading defenses.

I hear people complain about his height too.  He's listed at 6'1'' but pretty sure QBs typically measure shorter at the combine.. I think Young was listed at 6'0'' and measured around 5'10''

There used to be a running joke in sports newsrooms about how short a player would have to be before the media guides didn't list him at 6-0.  The cutoff seemed to be around 5-8 or 5-9

So they said maybe move wright to LT and I assume borom slots in at RT?

Maybe it will be worse but I'm not 100% sure it's worse

I think people overrate the side change a lot, but given all the facts here I would leave him at RT. Borom should have been getting reps on both sides already as the primary backup.  The "blind side" is overrated. Just go with the least movement.

Bears basically playing for their season.  Chiefs taking Bears lightly and playing with their food.  One quarter of garage time for Fields to get the Bears within 10.  I'd take Chiefs -12.5 but I don't think its free money

This, plus the Chiefs are awesome but bad at covering large spreads. I know the Bears don't cover as big dogs either but I could see a scenario where the Bears are down 24 points and Fields gets two garbage time touchdowns when Andy Reid is busy ordering KC BBQ thru Uber eats

Just catching up on the last few pages....

Justin not holding back. I never thought there could be any in-season major moves made, but if Fields isn't happy with Getsy, I'd venture to guess there's other players on the offense not happy. Could see a midseason move if things don't improve soon.

Deion said he isn't coming to the NFL. He cited not being able to motivate NFL players. But I've heard the NFL isn't as interested as fans are. He's a "bigger than the team" type personality, and teams don't typically go for guys that take away attention from the team/players. The best bets would be teams like the Raiders, Cowboys or Jags who have either made these type of hirings before, have a larger than life owner or could use the attention (Jags have a likely long-term coach though).

I just don't think Deion saying he's not coming to the NFL means anything, college coaches often say that and then end up in the NFL anyways.  The "bigger than the team" hire part may be true but like you said there are teams out there that would go for it.  If I had to create a ranking of teams most likely to hire Sanders, the Bears would easily be in the bottom 5.

I actually listened to that part of his press conf on the Bears app, and it felt clear he was unhappy with the coaching. He skirted the question about holding onto the ball too long, ie not processing the D. He said he is a "perfectionist" and a reporter immediately asked if he meant that if a play wasnt perfect, he wouldnt throw the ball(?). He kid of shrugged the question off and said "perfectionist in general", but I think it was clear what he was saying. It think Getsy is asking him to do things he doesnt WANT to do, and it 100 % feels like we are about to see Justin 2022 this Sunday

i think that’s about the only way he stays in the NFL at some capacity, also. Can an NFL team win with 2022 Fields? He didnt really prove it last year, but then again he D was abysmal...so the question remains. I think in some ways JF is setting his course for free agency at least if this year continues to be a catastrophe

I think so, he's reached horsefeathers it and its for the better, not only for him but, for the Bears.  The mistake was/is trying to turn him in to something he's not nor will ever be, that's not to say there cannot be improvements in his passing game.  It's a quality OC who's going to find a way to put him in a position to succeed either Getsy figures that out or he's gone.

First thing that popped into my head was the Mel Tucker situation. What else qualifies as shocking?

I've seen multiple, independent reddit/Twitter reports of something that I don't wanna say until someone legit confirms it, but it would be weird for the same thing to get said in different places if it's not true
