I'm pretty sure the first thing I noticed was how upset he was that the Cubs ended relationship with the Peoria Chiefs, and then they didn't include Peoria on that Cubs Caravan thing and maybe something about lack of WGN games. But he really reached his pinnacle when he openly wished for Addison Russell to fall flat on his face and have Samardzija prove how arrogant and wrong Theo was.

I like seeing what we're doing with Montgomery's repertoire. I could see him in the 2017 rotation if we're able to trade Hammel. Love that he has so much team control remaining as well. In the comments somebody mentions that he could be used instead of Lackey against the Dodgers if we face-off, which would be unnerving but interesting. They sure do suck against LHP and crush RHP.

I get that they are focusing on this year with that article, but a big part of the reason that Montgomery is a nice asset is that he'll likely be part of the rotation in years to come.

That guy is a sportswriter right? if so, that is shockingly unprofessional, but not surprising. The Peoria paper also had a writer that called an 18-year-old Eric Gordon "a steaming pile of 2 guard" for backing out of verbal to the Illini a few years back.
