I really had just assumed the NLCS would be on regular Fox.

Fox spent TONS of money to get FS1 going...if they didn't put any big time sports on there, they'd have nothing at all. Everything else gets horsefeathers ratings.

They want it to compete with ESPN. And nobody complains if a playoff game is on ESPN.

They risk pissing off some people that don't have FS1, but the hope is that customers will complain to the carriers, who will add the channel and pass the costs on to the subscriber.

"What the horsefeathers is FS1?" would be my carrier's reaction. 8-)

MLB.TV all the way here (although one of the Dutch channels usually carries the WS)

It's probably easier for you to get all the games there than it is here for some people.

In their quest to win their first World Series since 1908, the Chicago Cubs once brought in a Greek orthodox priest to spray their dugout with holy water. It didn’t work.

This year, Cubs relief pitcher Hector Rondon is appealing to a supernatural power with something more potent: Sexual Paris by Michel Germain.

If he's moving at all, then I want him on the World Series roster. Hell, even if he can't move, we can wheel him out to the batter's box and he can crawl around the bases.

Has it been reported at all if he's even swinging a bat yet? Whether it's vs pitching or off a tee? It seems the only little updates we get are him doing drills in the OF.

Stupid UMfan thing that means nothing and is mildly interesting at best but can't resist typing it out anyways:

This is the 5th NLCS appearance for the Cubs. In their previous 4 appearances they've won 0,1,2 and 3 games. So this MUST mean that the Cubs are destined to win 4 this time.

He's been swinging for a little while now.

He's not. They've said they don't want him torquing his knee like that yet.

EDIT - I can't find where the hell I heard/read it, but it was within the last few days.

I look forward to getting back next year and winning five.

There's actually no one I would want to drop on the roster for a hella rusty Kyle Scwharber even if he was 100% healthy, but if they activated him they would have the biggest and best cajones in the history of baseball and I would love it forever

I'd drop seal boy in 3 seconds flat. Hell we didn't want to use him once in the Giants series.

Are we sure that they didn't leave him by Pier 39?

I get all of them ... in the middle of the night.
