Robertson back to the Phillies

$16M (prorated anyway) is pretty great work if you can get it

Bahaha.  Desperation move.  Guy is old, he's going to need at least a month to get ready, unless he's been throwing a lot on his own.

He'll make more in 2-3 months than i'll make in my entire life.  How depressing.

Phillies are paying 110% tax on the prorated portion of this deal so around $11-12 million. So they clearly liked what they saw in his throwing session and have ownership willing to spend to win.

A move I wish the Cubs had made.

With Ozzy Osbourne, Malcolm-Jamal Warner and Hulk Hogan’s deaths over the last few days, just how busy has Nick Castellanos been lately?

Strictly looking at his stats, he reminds me of KB.

-Crushed the ball in college for 3 years
-Drafted and then crushes the ball for half a season in the minors at age 21
-partial season for Kurtz and a year younger but he's got a 31.7% K rate and a 10.6% walk rate (before today) this year while KB was at 30.6 and 11.8 his rookie year

That announcer and Nick Kurtz for Matt Shaw, Owen Cassie, Kevin Alcantara, Moises Ballesteros and Cristian Hernandez. Who says no?

Never understood why HOF writers try so hard to make a name for themselves and use that platform to do it. You have one opportunity and that’s what you do. That writer knows Ichiro a first ballot hall of famer, so vote accordingly. So ridiculous

Man this Clase case is insane. There are 22 instances in which he led off the 9th with a waste pitch this season. They nabbed Ortiz for two. The catchers and coaches have to be in on it also to see this and not question what is going on.

As somebody who normally has much better control than that, that's certainly something.

That said, I can't help but sit here and think how horsefeathered Carlos Marmol would have been by this type of analysis.

Ohtani leaving with trainer mid at bat after throwing 6 straight balls that weren’t close.

MVPete it is.

He continued to DH apparently, so they must not think it was that serious.
