Lol, I didn't even know we had a game last night. Wonder who the next coach will be? Wonder if it even matters?

 

They need to sell the farm and go after Gregg Marshall, pay him as a top 10 coach and give him full control.

 

I also like Archie Miller and Larry Krystkowiack.

 

Give him full control? Like GM and Head Coach? Is this a Kentucky thing?

Supposedly, that's one of the main reason why he hasn't left the state of Kansas.

Looking forward to the Battle 4 Atlantis starting Wednesday. Should be a good 3-day run of hoops.

Illinois is down double digits to Chicago State. It's going to be a long year.

 

ended up pulling it out at the end. these guys have some future stars, but there will be some growing pains, like there already have been.

So I woke up at 3 am after falling asleep during halftime of the NCSU/ASU game last night. Decided it was a good idea to start watching from the 2nd half only to watch NC state fall behind/come back and take the lead/choke it away and lose by 3 (barely missed a 3 pointer at the buzzer to tie it). Of course that had me wide awake and then couldn't go back to sleep until 5:00. As a result I slept through my alarm and woke up at 7:55 (I had a phone appointment at 8am I obviously was late to call).

 

Not a wise decision, but then again I specialize in those it seems :bow:

JCL is going to be a star, and I frickin' love Finke! Other than that ... Yikes. Can't get Nunn back soon enough.

After we pop 10 wins this year, I hope JCL is a star for us and not someone else.

Well yeah, but pretty much everyone is going to lose to Iowa St. this year. I just hope we make it a game.

I was expecting more from the juniors. I'm guessing they pull it together enough to keep Groce's mediocrity train running for another year or two.

Nunn has played one game and went off in it. I don't know whether to want Groce gone, or to want him here. I think people forget how bad of shape we were in when he took over. He has gotten some nice out of state recruits, just can't land the big one from Chicago.

In addition to Nunn, Tate's first full game was yeesterday, Hill has been tasked with doing everything in the early going and is holding up and Morgan has been very efficient in his time. (12 points in 8 minutes last night) I'm kinda confused here.

Considering they're not hitting those but are nailing the wide open ones because ISU is apparently allergic to playing defense, I'd think you'd be happy about those.

either groce sucks or illinois players are stupid. their last 12 minutes gameplan was brutal.

 

Young guys who thought it was their turn to shoot. Gottlieb nailed it talking about the awful shot selection.
