Illinois continues their streak of doing well enough to win games but making damn well sure they don't win easily.

 

It would be huge to edge out Michigan today at home. Hopefully enough folks show up to make it a decent atmosphere...

well, big men do typically develop much slower...but while i'd love nothing more than for this to be a kind of breakout, it might be more likely that the Illini (Beileini?) have the same indifference toward post defense that we do

Thoughts on the B1G after the first week:

 

- Purdue might just be the best team in the B1G this year.

- If NW wins tonight and can avoid losing to Rutgers, they should make the tournament. They'll have to go at least 10-8 in conference, though, since their non-conference was really weak.

- Illinois has no way to rebound or post defend, which isn't going to win them any easy games.

- MSU really misses Valentine

- Minnesota, Illinois, PSU, Nebraska, and Rutgers are BAD.

I once watched Stephen Curry score 41 for Davidson, while Blake Griffin had 25 and 21 for OU in a game. This tops that.

Sad I missed the game except for the 3rd overtime. Hield is ridiculous. Should be a fun game return game in Norman. If OU plays that well again, no way we'll beat them there.
