We do have a couple amazing wins against the Rockies in the last 10-12 years. 08 and then when Ricky Gutierez scored the winning run in that rundown with Girardi in the early 2000's.. That was my favorite Cub win of all time

We're going to pull it out. Signature win this year.

The cubs do [expletive] in the clutch. Don't expect anything. This team has absolved itself of any hope for the rest of the season. They had a chance to go to 9 games above .500 and they've performed like steamy garbage ever since. It's inexcusable.

Yeah nothing at all in the clutch that's why they lead baseball in walkoff wins

Yes, you can blame Maddon. The writing has been on the wall regarding Motte since basically as soon as he arrived in his peripherals. And there was never a reason to sign Soriano let alone give him a big spot. Meanwhile Grimm languishes in low leverage early inning spots. It's Dustyish managing.

I don't understand if Maddon is supposed to be this smart manager he doesn't see the advanced stats that suggest that he's due to suck. I don't necessarily care if the best reliever is a closer, I mean we've made the playoffs with Borowski and Dempster as our closers, but Motte is definitely not the guy when you have guys like Grimm and Strop (assuming you use Rondon for high leverage situations)

Given the horrible stretch we were going through, Grimm should have been in to partially assure a win, to pull us out of this tailspin.

Because we play tons of close games, partly because we suck with RISP. If we scored more runs there'd be no reason to walkoff.

If Soriano isn't DFAd tomorrow morning there's something extremely wrong with this organization

Motte and Grimm should switch roles as well
