The fantasy thread used to be chock full of fantasy baseball talk, now it's basically fantasy football only.

Yep. Pretty sad stuff. I would love to have an active fantasy board again.

Of course he did. He can join Darvish,Cobb and Fernandez on my Dynasty DL I'll now be starting one of Jerome Williams,Bud Norris or Kyle Kendrick.

Kluber hit Holiday in the elbow. The poor guy has left the game. No word on whether his historically high BABIP is okay or not.

And then Francona is ejected while asking why Lackey is not ejected for obviously hitting Kipnis.

Kluber has K'd 11 with 0 hits through 5. Holliday goes down for significant time and Cardinals get no-hit? Yes, please.

He'll do just fine as a one-armed hitter the rest of the way.

Hoping Harvey has at least 90 pitches after 5 innings, then the lineup can \:D/ over the Mets bullpen

18Ks through 8 for Kluber. At 113 pitches though so we'll see if they send him out for the ninth.

I don't mean the 20K throne, I mean the generally accepted fact that Wood's game was the best pitched game ever.

I've never heard one person say that was the best pitched game ever.

The highest game score for a nine-inning game in the history of baseball was Kerry Wood's one-hit, no walk, 20-strikeout shutout performance for the Chicago Cubs against the Houston Astros on May 6, 1998. His game score was 105 (50 + 27 + 10 + 20 – 2).

Now you have.

Really? It's the highest 9 inning game score.

Strikeouts are fascist.

For whatever reason, I had a memory that Rich Hill pitched some insane game that ended up somewhere like 4th all time on the game scores list... turns out that is not even close to true. I'm guessing it must have been #4 for the season (or #4 at the time it happened.) It must be this game that I'm remembering -

6/7/07 - 8.0 IP, 1ER, 3H, 1 BB, 11 K, 82 game score

I was shocked to find in my research that he actually pitched in the big leagues last year, and is currently in AAA for the Nationals

One of the greatest pitching performances of all time?

Yes. It was awesome.

It's in the team picture, but Don Larsen, Roger Clemens, Bob Gibson, Nolan Ryan & Sandy Koufax among others all have games that could be called "one of the greatest".

For me, if you pitch a perfect game in the World Series, that's pretty damn hard to beat.

I think this is a case where statistics, era and opinion can be used to make the argument for several games.
